I am not on the board often and don't have close relationships with anyone in particular. However everyone has been lovely to me and offered great advise when I needed it. Sorry to see you leave such a valuable resource and lovely people.

Me Too!
I must have missed 'something' TOO!
I don't know what has happened but PLEASE rethink and stay here. This is a VERY large site with such diverse personalities/life experiences/own agendas/you name it - I refuse to be 'run away' from a PUBLIC FORUM by anyone - I have as much right to bee here as they do and have the right to be me - just as you have those same rights. And can (and have) given to others - Don't deprive others/newbies/oldies of you and what you can pass on because you (or anyone) has a lot to give - not the same as anyone else but thankfully the world is very diverse and not just 'one size fits all'. I hope you do read this and reconsider.

I must have missed something also.
I don't know why you think you don't belong. You are a breast cancer survivor. We get new members constantly and they can benefit greatly from your experience. Hopefully you have gained some knowledge and comfort from us in the past. We will miss you and hope you decide to stay but, if not, I pray you have a long and happy life.
HUGS!!!

After posting this, I looked back a couple of pages. I see that you were recently told the cancer has spread to your bones. I understand that is difficult news to process and you are apparently having difficulty with your medications. I believe, if you give your onc more time, he/she can find something that will work for you. Naturally, if you really want to give up, that is definitely your right but I can tell you that I found out in July last year that I am stage 4 and I also considered giving up. I started back on chemo and it was very difficult to deal with (I too was discussing quality of life) but I honestly believe that if I hadn't received the chemo, I wouldn't be alive now. I am currently on chemo pills (Xeloda) and I feel pretty good these days. I am so glad I didn't give up and I pray that you will think about continuing the battle a little longer because I really think you are still in shock over hearing that you are stage 4 and it takes time to accept something like that. I am praying you find "peace" in whatever decision you make. Just remember you are not alone!
HUGS!!!

And I sincerely apologize for anything I may have said or done to contribute to that feeling.
I found great comfort here when I was going through my treatments. Many of the members who were here then (2 1/2 years ago) have remained active on this board. It is one of the reasons I come back - to stay connected with them and to check on them and, since I am now cancer free, to offer hope to those beginning their journeys.
I hope you will continue to come here as there are others who are experiencing or have experienced similiar situations as yours. And I hope we can provide you with what support you need. You are welcome here. We may simply not be what you need at this time. Please reconsider.

I am so sorry that you feel that you do not belong here. There are no outsiders here at all. Everyone of us is here for a reason. Some of us have just been on here for a long time and have been through a lot from the get go, therefore, you get to know eachother. Some zo of us have had the opportunity to actually meet some of our fellow pinks in person. I hope that everyone will always feel welcome on this board as we all have something to give and I know that I really do need the wonderful men and women on this board.
Family and friends are wonderful and some try really hard, but honestly, being with others who have or are experiencing this journey that we never would have volunteered for has just been priceless.
Being stage iv, I was so welcomed when I came here. I tried another group in person and realized that being stage iv, I was their worse nightmare. They were all afraid of becoming stage iv and there I felt like a pariah. Now I belong to a support group through our Cancer Wellness House, as well as this online support group, and in both I love all the experiences with meds, feelings, grief, laughter, etc.
I don't always post, or respond. Sometimes I take mental health breaks and try to stay away, it usually only lasts a few days, though as I want to know the results of our fellow pinks tests and celebrate or commiserate. I don't always agree with people but I certainly respect their rights to make what ever decisions they feel are right for them... No decision is easy and there isn't a treatment that works the same for any 2 people.
I too went back to see if there was anything to blatently want you to leave, and other than struggling with some very hard decisions regarding treatment, I hope you stay on as there is always something to learn and we always love to hear where each of our fellow pinks are on this journey.
Hugs and hoping it all gets better for you.

Technically, I no longer belong here....
I fought my battle so long ago....
BUT, dearheart, you have valuable information to share...and, just by you posting your thoughts on leaving, it means you need to stay....
We are a VERY big family here, made up of 'newbies' and 'not-so-newbies'. Some of us (me, included) lurk more than post. BUT we have all, at one time, been active in the group.....
Please think about it, but if you must go on...well, we will leave the light on for you, my dear!!!
Hugs, kathi
