Joan Larson ~ I received your thankyou card and passed along your loving words to the breast cancer boards. Here is the link for the CSN one. As you can see she is truly missed by all of us, her pink sisters. Our love and prayers continue to go out to you and your family as you cope with such a devistating loss. God Bless you all and rest assured Katrina will always be in our hearts.
Dear Lorrie,
You might mention to Joan Larson that she is welcome here as a "caretaker of someone who had breast cancer". My first discussion board online back in the late nineties, a young woman, Regan joined our group. She was the same age as Kat, the same enthusiasm for life, a very accomplish young lady, a college student, cut down in life's most productive stage. Everyone adopted her as was done here. Kat suffered far more than Regan but the latter had a prolong wait for death.
After Regan death, her mother joined our group and was excellent advising the younger women who came to the board. The board lost it's funding about 5 years ago. We are on closed Facebook account, only open for old members . She never joined the group there, though she was recently remembered by us all. It was hard for her to come to terms with her daughter's death and we seem to give her comfort. In return, in due time she gave solace to others.
No one ever forgets the Katrina's, the Regan's and all the younger women who die before they had a chance to really lived. This disease is cruelest to them who should have been enjoying all life frivolities instead of coping with a terminal disease. My heart always breaks for them and their love ones whose lost is incomprehensible.

a flower! Her beautiful personality was a beautiful bloom! She taught us so much and was wise beyond her years. Words cannot express my sadness at your loss. But I know her life, be it short, impacted so many.
God bless you with His peace,
Sylvia

No thanks is necessary but what a gracious lady Kat's mom is. If you hear anything further from her Lorrie, please let us know and thank you!

Thanks for posting the thank you card. I didn't know Kat, but, it is obvious how loved she was and what a wonderful person she was.
Hugs, Rose
It's still so hard to think of Kat not being here. She fought the bravest battle I've ever known. Thanks Lorrie and thanks to Kat's family for sharing her with us and for the thank you.

Have you heard anymore from Kat's parents Lorrie? It is still so hard to believe that we've lost Kat. I always include her family in my prayers.

I met a young girl the other day at my Cancer Center and she reminded me a lot of Kat. She was beautiful, had Kat's long hair and was determined to beat bc. Sure miss our young one and I hope her family is doing well.
I told this girl that she reminded me of someone very special to many bc pink sisters. She just smiled and said thank you. it was almost like she knew who I was talking about....
