Fantastic News
What a wonderful result and to be sub-100 after the early result is amazing! Continue to enjoy your good health!
Next week I will have my blood test for the result after 3 rounds of Doxil. Side effects have been awful so hope the news on the CA125 will be good and make it worthwhile!!

Good News!
I am getting what is supposed to be my last carbo treatment today. The Dr is thinking he may add a couple more to give it a boost. On the other hand he says that it may be better to get off it now and have it available for when it comes back. I guess you have to be off it for a while before you can take it again. My CA 125 was 11!!! This was my first recurrance that did not respond to Doxil. I am happy that we found something that worked!

I am getting what could be my last carbo treatment. I get it in the hospital as I am allergic to it. We do a desentization and it works great. The Dr stated he would like to do a couple more to give it a boost. On the other hand, he says you have to wait several months before I can take it again. I may need it later so I should probably get off it now while I am good and be able to take it when I do need it. The jury is out till January when we will decide. My ca 125 was 11!!

Thanks again, ladies, for your kind words. I'm beside myself with anticipation for what my doc will say on New Year's Eve about this week's PET scan. Happy, healthy, hairy new year to us all! ♥ ♥ ♥

Great news!!
I'm glad you broke the 100 mark!
I am new to this... But I've only seen people with CA125's in their early thousands. My mother is at 19,765. Is this terrible or is it just a number?

Thanks for your message!
I'm relatively new to this too -- only diagnosed 5+ months ago. I was alarmed when my oncologist reported my CA 125 number was "only" 2,700+. He said then the important thing to remember was not the CA 125 number at the outset of treatment, but how it changes over time. I've been pleased that my number has gone steadily downward ever since. Also, I believe it's important to try not to obsess too much over the number, but to savor each day and concentrate on feeling as well as you can overall.
Good luck to you and your mother, and Happy New Year!
