    Home for the holidays! That's where we will be! My parents house that is. So excited and I am taking lots of money. You know why? We love to play euchre. Anyone else play it? After we eat and talk for awhile, then the card playing starts and snacks. Yes, snacks. lol

    I got all of the shopping
    I got all of the shopping done, so, I am really ready now for a wonderful Christmas. And, I have even started baking cookies to take to others. Now I just have to make some fudge.

There are so many of us, as he is one of sixteen children, that there are "tons" of gifts, even though we exchange names to help keep it aqffordable. Most of the family, including the next generation, still live within 45 minutes of the homestead. If they can't make it for the meal, they do pop in at some point in the late afternoon or early evening.

    My side of the family has what it calls the Annual Ashley Post-Christmas Christmas, as it works better for us to gather between Christmas and New Year's. Aside from the fact that one of my brothers and his family live about three miles from my parents, most of us live 200-600 miles away. My parents have an apartment in a retirement complex, and we reserve the activity room for our actual celebration. There we have plenty of room for our dinner and other activities.

    We're hosting Christmas here
    We're hosting Christmas here this year and I am almost ready. Just have to do some more grocery shopping and baking, but, that isn't hard. The house is decorated inside and out and we've got so many presents under the tree already that I don't know where we will put the ones that everyone brings. But, we will find a place. LOL

    Really looking forward to a fantastic day with our families!

    I took over some cookies to an elderly neighbor this morning in a beautiful Christmas tin and she was so excited and happy. I stayed and had a cup of tea and some of my cookies with her. This is what Christmas is about.

    The stores are really having some great sales which are nice.
