Miss you so much
Lisa. I think of you often hoping you are doing well.
I am glad you are being proactive as far as cancer goes. I pray you never get any kind of it. Sorry you are having marriage. Issues and maybe they can be resolved. I have chemo until next Feb...a whole year and I am getting close to another remission. This week I got approved for SSDI and will not work anymore. I am very sad as I loved nursing so much. Thank you for visiting us,I am sure you will get a lot of responses from other ladies,we have a lot of new members. Take care,,glad you got a clean bill of health..God Bless you and your family..your Mom is never far from you...Val0 -

And you DO. Belong Here..please feel free to post!0 -
So nice to hear from you
And I agree you do belong here! I'm also glad that you are being proactive. Your info from the Mayo is extremely interesting to me. My mother had breast cancer, I, of course, have OVCA and my brother just passed away from pancreatic. I had the BRAC tests done and they came out negative.
I lost my Mom many years ago and I can tell you that it took years for me to come back to myself. Take good care of yourself and know that you always have family here.

So happy to see you post. Missing you (of course you belong here!) Glad you're taking care of yourself, and bless you for trying to call attention to this horrid disease. I know what you mean, it's been a little over 3 yrs since I lost my mom, and I'm doing okay.. I'm not the same person that I was, but I'm doing okay. Hang in there, hope you can get things sorted out with your husband.. Love you too!

and like the others I feel you belong here too. You are part the "the club." Of course it isn't the greatest club but the members are the best. I am glad to hear you are in good health.
I sometimes wish we had some kind of role call so we could keep track of everyone. We are a family here and it's scary when one of the family drops away. If it is because they are healthy and busy having fun I would still like to know.

I feel I could almost of written your post! Mum died just before Xmas and like you, I still like to pop in and see how everyone is getting on, it was a huge part of my life, everyday I used to religiously log in and chirp on most of the posts! it's just such A shame to see all the new members and a lot less of the old ones
Not a day goes by when I don't think about her some days are worse than others and it hurts to the core, the first few months I didn't seem to grieve to much, I think I did so much crying when she was diagnosed , but of late it has been difficult
Take care , nice to. See you on here.0 -
GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Glad that you are moving forward, even though you will ALWAYS miss your Mom. But sorry to hear that you are having marital troubles. Sometimes health issues put quite a strain on relationships. I'll pray that your marriage will experience healing and completeness!
Yes, we always have the possibility 'hanging over our heads' that we could get A, B or C. But living one day at a time is all you can do. Be vigilant, pro-active, and hopeful.
So sorry to hear that you weren't able to persuade anyone in Washington to get on the bandwagon for this terrible disease. Breast cancer has so much going on all year round - and NO disrespect to anyone. We lost a dear sister-in-law to breast cancer, and a few friends. But OVCA tends to get 'overlooked', despite the efforts of many of us here each September and throughout the year.
Congratulations on your clean bill of health, Lisa! Stay strong, visit us again, and until then, sending lots of love, hugs & prayers to you!

Lisa, I think about you and the others often! It's been 6 months now since my mom got her wings. I miss her dearly. Today has been a very difficult day for me. I still have many sleepless nights. My prayers are with you and everyone else! Much love, Jessica
It is indeed hard isn't it. Life is never the same I guess. Wow, the 6 months flew by...That first year was very tough, but I have many of her things around me and that brings me comfort. I noticed life got a little better after about 13 months....that seemed to be a turning point, from daily pain to thinking I can't keep being mopey....in fact, a friend wrote me a note that said, life will never be the same, but our Mom's wouldn't want us to be unhappy either, that's the legacy of Mom's.....I had to take sleeping pills for awhile afterward as well....I used to dream she was cured and would wake up confused.....thanks for checking in......nice to hear from you......i wish there were no new members....0
