Natural/Homeopathic remedies for menopause

The back story. I am 34 years old. Diagnosed with ovarian cancer 1C November 2011. 2 rounds of carbo/taxol and 4 round of carbo/taxotere. I have been out of sorts since my diagnosis, hormonally speaking. I just assumed it was the chemo but I'm 6 months out now and I still don't feel right. Hot flashes, irritability, and zero libido. I feel like a eunuch. My gyn/onc explained that HRT isn't really an option for me and started me on effexor. The effexor helps a bit with the hot flashes. I finally consulted a naturopath yesterday. She has me taking black cohosh and a supplment called estrobalance. I am so disapointed in the medical community. I feel like nobody is concerned about the effects of menopause on me. It is so depressing to think that this is my life for the next 40 years. Don't get me wrong, I am happy that I have a relatively good prognosis. But I want to feel normal again. The naturopath was very nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable about supplements and how chemo can affect a woman. I havent told my doctor yet. I don't really care if he has an issue with it as I felt I have no other choice. He has not given me any alternative to HRT. Has anyone else gone the homeopathic route for either treatment or to combat the side effects of treatment?

    Integrative
I followed integrative treatment starting just after my second chemo treatment. For me, I'd have to say it has been a great success, with an initial prognosis of living less than a year, to being 2 1/2 years NED since completing my first line chemo, and feeling great.
I use Chinese herbs and accupuncture for my menopausal symptoms, and they were great. I have done a lot of things to help my body recover from treatment and to keep it healthy. It is sad that medical doctors are focused only on the disease and not the cause or how to get the patient healthy.

    I am in menopause and
I am in menopause and currently waiting for a surgery date for hysterectomy. I have been taking a supplement also to combat the hot flashes and such. I still get hot flashes but they don't last as long and are definitely fewer than before the supplement. The one I am taking also contains black cohosh.
