Clodagh O'Shea talks with Roger Bingham about what viruses have taught us about the genetics of cancer and ways of using that knowledge to create viruses that selectively target genetic changes in tumor cells.

    Excellent video
But an oncolytic virus that only targets cancer has been around along time, it's called NDV and we have been giving it to our son for over a month now, no side effects at all.

    Hi Pete
It comes from Hungary, strain MTH-68, MTH= More than hope. For us it's our only hope unfortunately.

Sorry, can't find the lab, don't have good Hungarian, it all comes through a network of volunteers here, that's all I know.

Just got our MRI results, mixed news, the unreachable tumour has not progressed, however two resected are back, wish we could of started the virus sooner.

Plan now is to add an HDAC inhibitor + anti-angiogenesis drugs. His tumour is so fast growing this virus needs help.

sorry to hear of the recurrences
    Tony,
    You will find a way!

    I pray.

Have you researched thalidomide? It wad recommended for me by alt onc, but I have not checked it out or sourced it.

Thanks for your suggestions on our forum, and my stress relief tips.

Well today it's focus more on the things you can control.

    Hugs,
    Pete

    Thanks Pete
We have been offered Thalidomide, it's definatley in the arsenal. We still have a few options for pathways to target, the test from Texas was a big help.

It ain't over till its over....

The mental strain at the moment is the hardest part, cancer certainly tests us.

    I can tell
In my 10 tips to stress less well number 3 could help.
Focus more on the things you can control.

Last night family watched RV vacation with Robyn Williams. Alto of laughter all around, we all went to bed smiling.
Have some fun! Family comedy movie nights are great for us.

Now Keith my 6 year old picked the movie, he was as proud as punch to have pick a great movie we all enjoyed. He kept on repeating this.

    Hugs,
    Pete

    another needle in the haystack
Just sincere thanks, today of all days.
    My smile has been hiding.

Got my cea result today only 320, the last was 47, only a six fold increase in 4 weeks.

Before I go to McDonald's for a final big Mac, I might as well get some ndv.

Always got some Hope, thanks manwithnoname.

The study is good read, I have to find an alt doc here who is keen.

I suspected the stress of business would frustrate my healing.

    What a great result not.

The haystack is a metaphor for my ****. Just lots of needles.

I had my second shot 0.2 ml gcmaf in the butt, my vit d is 150 nmol/L

Time will tell, give the boy amother hug.

Did the kids hot water bottles tonight. Fathers and kids are essential, my son got his back scratch, as most nights.
It helps me more than him. We both love it.

He is a good boy! I Hope your son is smiling, somehow. You will find a way.

    Hugs,
    Pete

    So sorry Pete.
You are such a fighter, just keep it up.

If you do go for NDV here's a heads up; I think I went the wrong way by building his immune system up, need the opposite.

The body fights any invader, so need to disable the immune before injecting.

It's also a numbers game, billions of virus against billions of tumour cells, we give 20 billion units at the moment. Might have to go higher.

Ok, there are great chemo drugs for lowering the immune system, VP-16 and cyclophospomide in a metronomic low dose.

The best NDV it seems for you is probably Lasota strain, need a vet to get it. ;-) it's very common and cheap.

Don't be scared it's pretty harmless, you might get headache and a fever first time, that is a good thing.

You have my private mail if you need more.

does that mean gcmaf and ndv mutually exclusive
ndv you want disabled immune system, presumably so virus kills tumours cells and host immune system leaves virus alone.

now gcmaf on the other hand activates the macropages, enhances the immune system. so if i was going to try ndv, i would put gcmaf on hold and give ndv a crack.

seeing my friend a vet tomorrow, my two dogs need a physical.

might as well keep the discussion in the open, we are only discussing hyperthericals, no one would be crazy or desperate enough to actually do any of this stuff! surely not ! and don't call me surely!

we got to have a laugh, life is just to serious! ok and thanks.

    hugs,
    Pete
