IF U HAD AN RP PLEASE READ

I had a robotic RP on 11/10/11. All went well. Healed good no pain meds or incontinence issues. ED work in very good progress. I was running 4 miles 3 or 4 times a week and eating right. Honestly looked better than when I was 40 (turned 50 in April). In late June I started haveing back pain and leg pain. All indications were siatic nerve. Had an MRI and showed a slight buldging disk so I thought that was it. PSA is undetectable so no fear of the beast. On 7/31 I had a fever with no head or lung or stomache issues. Just felt bad like worn down so I thought I had a summer bug. 2 days later a dull pain in my lower right side where hip meets your leg. Then neck sore parts of my chest. I went for blood work on 8/7 because I was now having a low grade fever for over a week (99.6 to 100.1) I was sweating during the night when the fever would break and then it came back. My SED rate was high and so was my C Reactove protein and Neutraphil%. Had a CT done of adbomen and pelvis. It revealed a Lymphoseal, which was an infection that stared when I had my RP. It happens occassionally when lymph nodes are removed. The doctor said I was a day a way from getting Sepsis. . He said it is rare to see this so long after surgery usaully in fiirst 90 days. He advised he has heard as long as a year after. If you had an RP and ever develop a fever lasting more than 4 days with no other sypmtoms or your lymph nodes get tender call your urologisyt and ask about this. I went in yesterday for an aspiration and have a drain for the next few days but no more fever and other than being a little sore feel good.
