I have to work tomorrow during the day, but tomorrow night we are taking my son to a Comedy Club. This will be a very nice break for me right now. We are celebrating his birthday early because he has to return to school Sunday.
Everyone enjoy your weekend!
Happy celebration!

You had a marvellous weekend Alice!abrub said:Got my weekend off to a
Got my weekend off to a great start with going to the races at Saratoga. I was with a friend of a horse owner, so we had paddock passes, which was fun
Then off to a concert in an amphitheatre - Philadelphia Orchestra with the "Symphonie de la Cirque" - circus performers who perform to the orchestral music. What a fabulous evening!
Tomorrow, husband comes back from 10 days scuba diving in Belize. Maybe we'll go kayaking on Sunday!
Enjoy Sunday !

Unexpected Sunday activities
Well, I have had a little more excitement than I planned for.
This morning as I was rushing to answer the phone, I twisted my ankle. When I heard a popping sound and the swelling started immediately, I knew I was in trouble.
Fortunately I got to the emergency room during a lull...not unheard of to wait 4 or more hours to be seen.
Bottom line is that I have a tendon which has pulled away from the bond, taking a tiny chip of bone with it...so officially a broken ankle. Sent home with a half cast until the swelling goes down and then will have a walking cast for 4 weeks or so.
Now I am home trying to get around on crutches, after having taken a pain pill at the hospital...lol...will have to try not to break the other leg!
While not the way I recommend spending a Sunday, could have been worse...so I will just go with the flow and be good to myself until I am back on two legs.

Hope you explain it to me,Go Spain!
Is where you fish from the beach (in the surf) We call it surf fishing here. Can drive on the beach, so pull up cast out a bait as far as you can. Place rod in a holder and sit and wait.
Never know what you'll catch either.0 -

Weekend got both better and worse...pepebcn said:You had a marvellous weekend Alice!

Daughter and husband came home from Belize yesterday - they had a wonderful trip! We went to another orchestral concert at that amphitheatre - Philadelphia Symphony playing Rossini (William Tell Overture), Dvorak (Cello Concerto) and Rimsky-Korsakov (Shaherazade). Lovely evening.
However... this morning, trying to figure out why a particular load of laundry keeps coming out smelling like dead fish (other loads have been fine; I rewashed this load, it got worse.) I finally pulled everything out of the washer piece by piece, until a large piece of stringy lint fell on the floor. I picked it up, and it turned out to be a dead mouse. Must have gotten into my washer, and then caught up in the clothes. Needless to say, I shrieked! Rewashed the clothes twice in hot water with bleach; I'm doing okay now.
However, it did put a damper on the fun of my weekend.0 -

Well, Marie...I can see you and what's going on right now through my goggles:)
Looks like this happens more often than we think it does...and when we fall, things tend to fall with us...I'm sorry it has happened to you.
We've got at least 3 more weeks and then they will re-evaluate her...
"Break a leg..."
Get better soon:)
Hugs!
