going to enjoy my life
I'm going to find me again! I intend on enjoying every second of every day until that next scan. I'm thinking a good book and lots of cold air conditioning enough to need a blanket...yes, I know it defeats the airs purpose but it's so cozy and comforting!
Enjoy your beach AGAIN... (jealous...yes) and the Olympics!0 -
Just relaxing growing those
Just relaxing growing those platetlets so I can continue with chemo #11 om Tuesday. Maybe some sewing, no maybe lots of sewing. I just had my sewing studio put in. Gorgeous - I have ALWAYS wanted one. Now I did it. Feels great. Feels empowering. Feels relaxing. Step 1 to making big changes in my life!0 -
Eat good food
I'm going to eat good food and be with friends and family before I start my 8 week 24/7 chemo treatment on Monday. Hope to see the kids and grandbaby. Maybe take a run to the casino again!! Everyone enjoy to the best of your ablilities this weekend. I'll be praying for all of us. Jeff0 -

Gonna over do it
I've got friends from Arizona visiting this week. The "baby sister I never had" and her kids are here. Yesterday we walked around downtown where they have painted pony statues on display, then went to the dinosaur park. Wore me and my dog right out! Not sure what's on the agenda today, other than going in for another magnesium infusion. If I get down early enough, I think we'll go out to Promontory Point, where the Golden Spike that linked the first intercontinental railroad was driven. If not, well do that on Saturday and go up the nearby canyon to the beach (it's at a reservoir.) They'll be going back to Arizona on Monday and this will probably be our last visit, so we're going to pack in as much fun as possible and I'll spend next week recovering. But it'll be well worth it!0 -

My children and I finished
My children and I finished our back to school shopping today. This weekend we plan to just take it easy and maybe have an evening of playing board games or working on a puzzle - we have a 4,000 piece that my 11 year old is wanting to start. I'll have to see if it will fit on the dining room table.
My parents are flying in from FL for a visit (planned before I got sick) on Monday. So I need to get the guest suite ready.
And as usual, I will probably work on my needlework at some point this weekend.

A sewing studio! I hope you enjoy lots and lots of hours in it. I have a stitching room - I do cross stitch. I just hope yours doesn't end up messy and um...cluttered like mine does on occasion. I really need to clean mine...but it can wait.

Trying to get over chemo #2
Still feel like I have been hit by a semi truck. It didn't hit me until 2 days after infusion, but this is the 2nd day of feeling like crap. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and maybe chemo #3 will be easier! FOLFOX sucks the life out of you!
