LOL. Sorry, didn't event think about the storm (duh - chemobrain lives).
Good point - half the work! You probably have more "squash" than planned
after the stom I guess .
I don't know about Vinny, but I have more yellow squash and sweet peppers than I know what to do with. I got the freezer stacked full of it. The corn did not do that great. Must of been to much cow manure in that section. They grew fast and rotted from all the fertilizer. Hmmmm!!,wonder how the corn would have tasted. LOL. John0 -

Now why don't I find "too much cow manure" in your case surprising?
(Ya know I only pick on people I like and care about.)
So many folks grow yellow squash around here - I like it okay but
far prefer the flavor of zucchini. The Black Eyed Pea restaurant makes
a wonderful yellow squash casserole. I used to eat it all the time
there when I lived in Houston. I also liked their fried corn (basically
a partial 1/2-1/3 ear of corn that was batter fried).0 -

I swear y'all will deep fry anything down there in Texas! My wife's from Wichita falls so I know first hand from many trips. Btw Jim I think every day should be " hugs" day especially tomorrow for our dear friend Lisha.0 -

Hey Aaron,
I live in North Carolina now and they fry alot of things here too .
Typical fare at a seafood restaurant is fried fish, fried shrimp, fried
hushpuppies and a side of slaw (not fried). I don't eat like that much
anymore. I prefer most of my fish baked, grilled, broiled or blackened.
I do think the only way to prepare catfish though is fried - lol for me anyway.
I agree with you about "hugs" day. There will be plenty to go around
for Lisha tomorrow ♥ ☺.
You sound like you're doing well and I'm glad.0 -

LOL... Yep, I really missed Carolina barbecue while in Texas.
Interesting how barbcue is different around the country.
Hotdogs - pretty much like them everywhere... The more chicken
lips, the better .
