Thank you Tim. I have been blessed in my life and have always prayed for my family and loved ones, however, when I got the diagnosis, I had trouble praying for myself. I am comforted by being on your prayer wall.

Jan - Rock Springs, WY :
Jan: undetermined neck / oral cancer - healing and good outcome from surgery August 15th

(Jan is a dear friend of mine from Rock Springs WY. She attended the same church my wife and I taught Children's Church at. We just found out a few weeks ago she has advanced, appears to be BOT cancer with lymph node invovlment. For 8 months or longer the primary doctor kept telling her it was a fatty tumor on the side of her neck) She now is in very poor shape, bleeding in the throat, in pain and is barely eating she says. She can't talk we only communicate via text. She goes to the Huntsman (sp) cancer center August 15th for surgery.

I pray every morning and night - often at times throughout the day, too - for every person suffering with cancer. I never realized what a terrible thing it is until it hit my home.

I know what you mean. I lost my dad and older brother (49) to cancer just this last year, then I was diagnosed with BOT stage III ...my poor mother, losing her oldest son and husband of 50 years...she has been through it (as well as my wife and kids losing their Uncle and grandpa).

I truly believe in the power of prayer ..and ceratinly hope you can join our prayer task team if you desire ...I just printed the discussion feed and pray each day at a certain time for each request ...and we fast on Wednesdays for the needs.

Please pray for myself, wife and kids and give them strength. I have battled tongue cancer for almost 20 years but the past year has been the most difficult with 4 mouth surgeries (radiation on the horizon in sept)as well as renal cell cancer March 7(kidney)with mets to the lungs late April.There are many friends and strangers who are praying for me and it has worked as my scan from monday showed the mets have disappeared. With my condition this happens less than 1% of the time.Please include us as we can use all the prayers we can get

So sorry you have had to deal with this for 20 years...but at the same time I was so happy to read the mets have disappeared!!

I am very happy to add you to the list. I read you post just after I finished prayers tonight ...and went back and said one for you, your wife and kids.

Listed as: Jeff, strength and complete healing of tongue cancer and any other cancer
in body so no more pain and hardships with this disease.

Strength for Jeff's wife and children. May they see their husband / father
NOT have to endure anymore of this!

Keep us posted Jeff. I know what it is like to watch your wife and kids "worry and stress" over seeing you go through this. No husband / father wants that for his family. It was one of the hardest things to watch my five children ages 2 - 13 see me in such a state ..yet I could do nothing to keep them from having to witness it. I can honeslty say it drew our family closer and certianly made our faith stronger.

I can't imagine how tough you must be to deal with this for 20 years!!! Your wife and children too!!

Please include in your/our prayers also my father who will start his treatment this Wednesday and he sure does deserve a second chance in his life as his childhood and life weren't a party. He was always a strong man, wonderful husband to my mother and great father to me, his only daughter. We really need him to stay with us for long time in the future to be able to enjoy his only grand daughter and the rest of the family. As we live far away from each other our plan is that he and my mom move closer to us. So they will sell the house and move to my city. I am sooooo much looking forward to that - to see them both closer to me and my family. This illness really drew our family together and my dad definetelly deserves a second chance for full life. Like all of you and your loved ones who go thru this terrible desease.

So let the prayers be for Slovenian family. Entire family (my dad, mum, me and my husband and little daughter. We all need a real chance to be together for long time in the future!

It's very kind of you to offer up such a gift. I myself am only a part time believer, but am sure that prayer helps. I have asked for success for your group - never sure when I start out whether I'm reaching for God, or tossing my thanks and hopes to the universe. I'd appreciate a request that I remain free of cancer, and the "lump" in my throat is just a temporary lump, and not part two of the stage four villain I fought before. Also that I am successful at taking better care of myself (been backsliding) and find ways that I can help others here and there. Man, I sound needy.

Sorry I took so long to respond. Just got back from a 3 day camping trip with my two oldest kids and the church youth group! No phone or internet service AT ALL ..wow, wierd but actually quite nice too

Happy to have you on ...as for part time believer ..no worries on His end ..He is at it full time ) get it (wink wink).

..and so you know...you absolutely do NOT sound needy ...all we have been through and the fact they are some of the toughest treatments ..you sound perfectly normal to me.

Okay..listed as Pam: remains free of cancer, that the "lump" in her throat is NOT cancer that she continues to do better at taking care of herself. That she can find ways to help others.

And thank you VERY much Pam for asking for success for our group!
