Hello all, I got on this morning for the first time in about a month and saw where Ms Gebby had ask about Dawne. I checked with Dawne first and she told me to update all. Dawne is still suffering a lot with the lymphedema she is going to PT 5 days a week. She got her sleeve but it was to big so they had to send for another one. Her Dr wrote her a letter of medical necessity for a pump but her insurance will only pay a small part of it. She is trying other options for that. Dawne and I both were very sad to hear that our wonderful Onc. is leaving our tx center. She saw him Friday and that was his last day. He was great and is a BC specialist, I am upset more for Dawne because she is still in tx. I know we will have a great replacement he or she will just not be Dr R. Dawne did recieve some good news on Fri. her cancer has shrank by 50% and NO new mets!! Praising God!! I saw Dawne Fri and she looks good! She is not feeling well today, had tx on Fri but said she would try to get on soon. Keep her in your prayers as I know you do. I wish you all had the privledge of getting to know her like I have. We met because of this nasty beast but for me that has been one of the good things I learned from cancer. She is one of my dearest friends! Happy 4th to all of you, God Bless!

    Great news about Dawne's cancer shrinking by 50%! And, I hope that your new oncologist will be just as good as your other one and that you two like him!

    Wow! 50% reduction and no new mets!! That's worth celebrating. I'm sorry to hear the treatment is hard on Dawne, I hope it keeps shrinking the mets. Please tell her I pray for her daily.

    I am happy to read that Dawne is doing well. That was a great scan. Anytime there is no progression, it's good news.

    Sorry about all her problem with lymphedema.

    Good news for Dawne.Hope the next scan the mets will be gone 100%.Also happy no new ones.She is on the road to recovery.

    Sorry both of you will have a new doctor.It's hard when they leave or retire.I've retired quite a few.The new doctors are good.Much younger but like my husband said he feels more comfortable with the younger doctors.They are learning the newest techniques etc.when going to school now.

    Thank you,Janice, for the update on Dawne. Sorry to hear she is having trouble with lymphedema and her treatments. Hoping that you both get a very good Oncologist that will treat you both with great care and professionalism. Very glad to hear about her cancer shrinking and no new mets,either.

    I'm happy for both of you to have found each other here and can tell you both will be the best of friends!

    .. shrinking cancer tumor -- now that is music
    to our ears! I am so sorry that Dawne is having such a difficult time with lymph-edema,
    equipment and sleeves -- damn insurance companies!

    Janice -- so happy that your life after breast cancer is on track, and you are living
    life -- la viva loca :-)

    for this update. I've been concerned about our dear friend Dawne b/c I haven't seen her here for a while.

    I am sorry for the pain she is dealing with, but at the same time, I am doing flips hearing the cancer shrunk and NO new mets!

    Please give her a gentle hug and kiss from me. I miss her so much. She is a very special lade. AND ... YOU are too!
