Who needs 2 kidneys!
I hope that demonstrates to newcomers that, although the surgery is major and takes a while to recover from, we can get back to something close to normal in due course (though not all of us, it seems, since my GP shook his head and told me I'll never be normal).
So, it's handy to have a spare but one kidney is quite enough for most purposes.

On measuring kidneys and time
And why does one measure ? compare ? Either against the self or the other ?
What's the question behind the question behind the question...?
See it ?
Now if I could realize the truth of what I understand analytically, theoretically ? Would I ever ?
T - I received your emails, and am grateful for it. Maybe you are tired of hearing the thank you's,beyond a point it becomes redundant. I want to call - but not be intrusive. Let me try tomorrow or Thursday.

Hats off to those who donate a Kidney. They do it by choice. Some of us are born with only one Kidney. Those of us on this board with RCC are lucky. We had a kidney to spare. Every thing has to be taken in perspective.

You'll never hear me refer
You'll never hear me refer to you as an underdog on the golf course or in the recovery room! While life has thrown you some challenges, you conquer them by setting higher challenges for yourself. Keep on handing in those winning scorecards.
Good luck on Friday, and--for admittedly selfish reasons--get back here soon. We all desperately need all you bring to this board. Prayers be with you. . .0 -

Tex,
As golf season approches you have all the incentive for a full and complete recover so as to get out on the links as soon as possible.
Best wishes,
