Thanks for your help
3:30 this morning. It is so hard to believe, feels like a bad dream. His last hours
were peaceful, hospice was wonderful.
I can't begin to express how much the wonderful people on this site have helped me this
last year. You guys have encouraged me and helped me take care of him, thank you for
that. Brenda

Well, Brenda...Thank you for doing all that you could possibly do and for standing attentively by his side.
If anything comforts me, it is that his "last hours were peaceful." That alone must have been some kind of comfort for you, given everything.
We walked along the path with you - and you kept us close - together, we all experienced this tragedy and its effects, while much different from that of your own, it still strikes a resounding chord within each one of us who are out there fighting.
May he rest now as he gave it all that he had - and may you in the days to come, find the peace and acceptance with this, so that you go on with your life, and live it as well as you can.
I salute your husband on a brave and courageous fight - and I tip my hat to you for what you had to go through yourself and what you taught us here on the board. You are a true representation of what a caregiver is.
I hope that at some point, you will keep in touch with us - everyone, myself included, will be understandable concerned about you - and it you can let us know how you are faring, once you find your bearings, I know we would all like that.
My sincerest condolences to you and your family, Brenda.

Sorry
Was just thinking of your both last night and remember what a struggle you have had the last year. So glad that he went in peace and sorry your heart is so heavy right now. I'm hoping that you will continue to post on this board to let us know how you are doing. You were a wonderful caregiver, one that your husband was undoubtedly proud of. May God be with you all during this trying time.
Hugs! Kim0 -

My condolences
I am very sorry. I know no one can know exactly how you are feeling, but many of us have lost someone to this awful disease. I hope you are able to focus on the great memories and can put the cancer ones aside. I also hope you will continue to come to CSN and I pray for strength for you. No more pain for him, now only peace.0 -

I want to thank you all for your kind replies and prayers. This past week has been hard,
but all of my family has been here. Everyone has gone back to their work and their lives now, Monday morning, and I know the coming days and weeks will be hard. But I am going to try my best to stay busy and let the days pass with good memories of the life we had.
I appreciate you all and wish the best for you. Brenda0 -
Dear Brenda
I am sorry for your loss, but knowing he is now at peace must be a relief for you.
As the days go by, please let your wonderful memories of the last 43 years help fill the void of his not being physically by your side.
Please take care of you.
Hugs,
