My husband will be gone by tonight...
After spending two years asking for a Liver Cancer Support Group we finally have one!! It's too late for my husband to participate but I plan to to honor his memory and help others like ourselves who need some help navigating through this terrible disease.
Pray for my precious Paul to finally be at peace and never have to get poked with any needles, CT scans, MRI's or treatments ever again!!!

I am sorry that you
hi Slg,
I am sorry that you both have to be in this position after fighting so long and hard. Prayers for Paul that God open up his arms and receive him with all his love. Prayers that you may find comfort in the fact that he will be in a better place even thought the pain and absence is difficult to deal with. Here you have many ppl who care about you and will be on your side always. Hugs to you.0 -

I am so sorry.
After almost two years of posting on this site I am so sad to be moving on to be a part of another group. My husband lost his battle with cancer yesterday morning. I am forever proud of his determination and bravery for trying to stay with us longer. But sadly he has left us too soon and too young. I will not share our 40th anniversary with him in april and he will not be walking our youngest daughter down the isle in August, nor will he ever get to meet his future grandchildren or take them fishing. My heart is broken and I am worn down from having watched him deteriorate. I don't know how I will get along without him. He has been my life since the age of 17!!!0 -

I am so sorry to hear about your husband. It is so hard to watch our loved ones suffer. Sounds like you had a great marriage & I know how life changes over night cause I went through this almost 2 years ago. Not sure how long you dealt with this, but it's still so hard to move on. There is not a day that I don't think about all our happy years. We had just celebrated our 46th anniversary and had known each other since 1st grade.
Please let us know how you are & remember we're all here for you. "Carole"0 -

This is such a sad time, and I am praying for strength and peace after so much struggle. Don't grieve for what he will miss. Heaven has eyes.0 -

My deepest sympathies for your loss. I'm so proud of your strenght and persistence to take such good care of him. He deserved to be in a better place and I hope you are able to find peace in knowing how much you loved each other and the family you nurtured together.
I will light a candle in his honor and also for you.

I know saying I'm sorry doesn't do much for you. I find myself like others, unable to find much else to say. I lost my husband of 32 years in 2006, very suddenly in the middle of the night. I know some of what you are going through and will have to endure in the coming years. Knowing that he is at peace and out of pain must comfort you to a great extent. My girls were in their twenties when we lost him, and I too mourn the fact that he was not there/will not be there to walk them down the aisle, or to welcome their children into the world. But I am here to tell you that even though it may not seem like it, you can find the strength to go on. I discovered that my daughters were strong enough to go on without their Dad, and one of them even got married and figured out a way to do it in a more non-traditional way, eliminating the walk down the aisle. He was so very present that day; I could feel him and she could too. Sorry to go on and on, but as I was moving through the grieving process, it was so good for me to hear from others who had experienced it. It never ends, but it does get easier and the color does return to the world. I have discovered that my heart has room for another love and he is going through treatment for larygeal cancer. What a ride this life is. Praying for you and sending you loving thoughts.0 -

Im sending prayers your way. It is hard to go on alone, but somehow we find a way. My husband has been gone for over 2 years now. We were married 42 years and he fought the good fight for 6 years. For now just put one foot in front of the other. Allow yourself to grieve in your own way because we each must find our way, and you will find yours. It may not seem possible right now, but you will. Prayers and hugs, Fay0
