And a very Merry Christmas to you from us!
And a question--Which tumor count test does your doc use?
Congratulations on the good report of stability!

Angie, they use the CEA, its the same test Mayo uses with a different range. Mayo normal for non smokers is <2.5 and they use <5.0 for smokers. UVA uses <5.0 for everyone. Of course UVA has a lot of "train wrecks" as patients so they may never get any of us <2.5. The best I have gotten to is 2.8. If there is another sub category for this test I don't know what it is. Also my Mayo info is about a year old so they may have changed their norms, but I doubt it. When I had my first CEA it was 500. Have a Joyous Holiday weekend. Sam0 -

Hi Sam,
What great terrific news for you!!! So glad to hear this. I probably have told you this before but the nurses at my cancer center had me take Clariten the day before, day of and day after the Neupogen shot which is like the Nulasta and it really cut down on that bone pain which is excruciating to say the least also oxycodone helped too. Hope your Christmas continues to be blessed. Boy don't we love hearing an oncologist is smiling ear to ear!! take care, Christmas hugs to you.
