Special prayers coming your way
Reba,
You and Don have been in my prayers daily. It has been a long battle for both of you. I will be praying that Don's pain relief is effective and that he is as comfortable as possible. I am glad that he is home and has your love and support as he makes the final part of his journey.
Best Regards,
Paul Adams

As everyone else has stated, I'm wishing you peace, love and comfort as you face this next step in the journey. I am so sorry that Don is fading, and I know your pain. I was there, just a wee bit over a month ago. I stroked Lee's arms and hair, told him how much I loved him and just chatted aloud, about whatever came to mind. I gave him permission to go, and told him I'd be ok, and that his beloved doggie would be ok. I don't know how much of this he was aware of, he was pretty out of it for the last week, but it helped me to say goodbye. I'm sure on some level, he knew I was there, by his side every moment. And I'm sure Don knows that as well. You have been a champion caregiver, and you should take comfort in the fact that you did such a remarkable job.
I, like you, was at the point of wishing for Lee to let go. It felt horrible to think it, but I could not stand to watch him suffer any more. I know he is in a better place right now, and for that I'm thankful.
Please lean on us, we are here for you. Take care of yourself, be well and God bless

Same here . I am sorry
I hate this disease!! How old is don. By the way the color ribbon for esophageal cancer is periwinkle. I am truly sorry Tim is in bed it seems since his first chemo treatment in September, started hospice in November is at home and also on 60 mg of morph every 8 as well. His belly is swollen and this weekend his entire left arm . I had to cut t shirt to give room. I wonder if he will make it to Christmas ? It is in God's hands either way! One thing I can do is pray to God to sustain us! I know He will , Poor Tim was just diagnosed at the end of august and it has been downhill since. When did don have his last chemo? Take care dear sweet Reba0 -

Don is 78. He had EC surgery last Dec after 6 Chemo and 28 Radiation treatments. They said he was Cancer Free then. In August he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bone Cancer. The same kind as the EC. They gave him 6 to 8 months to live. He is going down hill fast and it seems the end is near. I don't know if he will last through Christmas or not. It is in God's hands. I don't understand why this terrible Cancer has to claim so many lives. Thanks so much for all your prayers. I will keep you in mine as well.0 -

This cancer is so cruel and plays so many horrid tricks on people. You and Don are in my thoughts and prayers for pain relief and peace.

RIBA my heart goes out to
RIBA my heart goes out to you and Don. There are too many people on here who have been where you are now and only they can know your heartbreak and suffering, the rest of us can only imagine the devastating heartbreak. You're in my thoughts as Don nears the end of his terrible journey and I pray for a peaceful passing.
