Great News!
Hi Robert -- I just love good news and I really need to read more of those. I am very happy your blood work was good. I pray it continues that way moving forward, always.
I am eating better now, but it's all about qty. and quality, right? Funny how those two words go together...only for us. You eat less and try to have a healthy variety of foods. I think it's best to eat different things. I see a nutritionist for my diet. Have you ever considered seeing one yourself? It's very helpful. Since I am ER+ I am limited to certain foods (e.g. no soy, no dairy, unless organic - and very little, no meats only wild or organic farmed fish, etc..). I am sure you can do it! But I also know it's hard to change your ways after being so comfortable.
Great news about your wife. I love stories like that. So happy she is doing well too.
Thanks for checking up on us. Yes, we women talk and talk, and we seem to have more issues than men, right? What can I say, we are gifted.
Again, very happy for your news. And do post from time to time. We would like to know your progress.
Best wishes to you and your wife.0 -
Great news Robert
I'm glad to hear you and your wife are doing good. I try to eat organic if possible and for the most part, lots of fruits and veggies. My struggle is sweets but i've become much more aware of that.
Hot flashes are just awful!
Thank you for your prayers, I'm praying for you too!
Take care,

I've Got the Perfect All You Can Eat Diet
Hi Robert, I've got the perfect all you can eat diet. It's called Ballerina's rainbow diet. You mix some green veggies, yellow veggies, orange veggies and red veggies. Season to your taste. I usually use garlic and red onions. Sautee in olive old. Eat as much as you want slowly. You may pass gas a little but you will loose some weight. Oh! I have baked white potato or sweet potato on the side. Only eat as many veggies as you want.

Thanks for posting, Robert. I do think you are the only man on this board these days. I'm so happy you're doing well - and I hope you are feeling well. We do tend to talk about female issues and relationships, don't we? But breast cancer does not discriminate. Hopefully, some day if anyone gets this disease, there will be a quick and easy cure. Until then, keep coming back here and keep us informed of your progress.
Best,

And glad you and your wife are doing well.
As for hot flashes, I am never far from a fan. It's a constant all night long...fan toward me, then away, covers off, then on, then repeat, repeat, repeat.
Wishing you well, keep us posted,
Jennifer
glad things are going well. I too am struggling to keep my weight down. my doctor suggested the zone, but i dont really want a diet I want a lifestyle. I am on the "snob" diet however, do not waste my calories on mere oreos or junk, it has to be really worth it.0 -

Sounds good, Robert!
No all you can eat diet, but I've been doing Weight Watchers since June with a 30# loss (hooray for me!). It's expensive though - you need all new clothes!
For hot flashes, a fan. Anything handy to fan yourself with and at work, an $8 Walmart fan on my desk - warning: may blow paperwork around - so aim it up toward face.
It's always good to see you post - ladies stuff or not.

...I have a $20 tower fan from Target right next to me in my office. There are days when I love it more than my girlfriend. :-)
I'm the Human Resources Manager, so I've told everyone it's a reasonable accommodation for my medical condition, and told those employees who eye it enviously that, if they ever so much as touch it, I'll cry "discrimination" so loud their ears will bleed!

up the good work. Hope you and your wife have a blessed Christmas
season.

FANTASTIC!
That is very good news, glad it all went well those appointments can be unnerving. Actually the good all you can eat diet is Weight Watchers, over the last year I have lost 50lbs with that program and I must say I feel better! My daughter joined 3 months ago and has lost 20 lbs to date. Okay enough diet talk, happy to hear your wife is also doing well!
Keep up the good health!!!

Hot flashes
Hot flashes are not for sissies. So now you can prove you are no sissy. I only had two when going through the change, and I would not wish them on anyone, not even an ex-husband.
About the weight. I too have some to loose. I do my own gardening so it allows for some exercise and lots of veggies all summer long. I did not garden as heartily this year because the bc made it's ughly appearance. I am a subscriber to the thought; "Give me all I want to eat because I'd rather exercise than starve". A few years ago I had a walking paper route from April to December. I had to walk really briskly to make any money at it. I walked about 5 1/2 hours a week with that route. I lost 30# between April and December that year. I have a yard that needs some landscaping as well this summer. I use field stones which are quite heavy (but they are free). So I get some exercise that way too. Doing this is almost as good as an all you can eat diet.0 -

I'm doing my hap hap happy dance for you! As for the 'hot flashes' --grrrr and ugh! Fans do help .. even in the winter -- damn hormones!
I eat non stop on Weight Watchers which includes prime rib, baked potatoes -- In and Out burgers --- you name it, I can eat it. WW includes an on line program as well as local meetings.
Please chime in on any subject -- we 'WARRIORS' always enjoy a males prospective .. LOL
Strength, Courage and Hope.

I am lucky as I have never had a weight problem, so, I am no help in diet talk. I do wish you well though. I know it isn't easy.
And congrats on your good news and sending good wishes and prayers for you and your wife.
