I am so sorry for your diagnosis. Please also register with Inspire cancer support group. There are many long term nsclc stage 3/4 survivors there. Also on the Inspire site the stages are broken down into 1,2,3,4 and small cell lung cancer. You will be able to do a search on treatment options and see that there are many treatment options for stage 3 and 4. I wish you well and keep us posted. Lori0 -

https://www.inspire.com/ Type this in your address line and hit enter. It should tell you how to register from there. There are no stupid questions. We all know how scary this is, because we have all been there. Can't wait to see you there. Remember to breath, I wish you well. Lori0 -
help
I didnt have a port put in. I had 16 weeks of chemotherapy after surgery to remove my left upper lobe. In hindsight I wish I had had one put in. It became quite difficult for the nurses to find my veins. I became a pin cushion, so I wish I had one put in. But I do know how you feel, I just didnt want to have to endure anything I didnt need. So I just wanted to let you know my experience.
