This morning, just 106 days after his diagnosis, my husband Greg passed away peacefully at home. He fought a courageous battle with both his cancer and his stroke.I am heartbroken to think that after almost 42 years of marriage, I will not have my fuzzy faced teddy bear by my side.     My heart goes out to you this evening. I have followed you and Greg's journey and I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. Your love for him has been so obvious in all your post. I will be praying for strength for you and your family during this painful time.

    I am so sorry to hear this news amongst all the bad news that has been posted this last week. You are a dear friend and I send big hugs to you! I know that you are probably in a state of shock, but do know that all of here on the board feel your heartbreak! This is a tough journey that none of us wish to take. You have been so brave and inquisitive. Your love for Greg will carry you through this and know that he is with you always. Don't stop visiting us and we will be here to lift you up the best we can.

    As Ann Said it, words simply fail.
    My deepest sympathy for you and I am so sorry you have lost your beautiful Greg.
    You two were much too young on the site and the diagnostic time you had with us, this is so unfair and I wish I had something, anything I could say. Your 42 years IS an inspiration to me and Michelle and you two have something few will ever even know.

    I am so lost for the words and the feelings are just overwhelming me trying to type through tears. If you find the peace I do in knowing that Greg is no longer having human pain, suffering and fear. He is in a better place with his Lord and Maker and has the company of all the loved ones that went before him. Together in Heaven, I know he is watching over you and is able to take care of you and protect you now, I truly believe this.

    My heart aches for you and cries out to you. If there is anything at all we can do to help please ask.
    Please know that we are ALL here for you and we are all holding you in the tightest of hugs possible over the Internet.

    We love you Rita. Watch for more pennies as you are walking with your head held high, proud of the courage that you and Greg taught me and showed us all a good bit about, that, and humility too. He was a good man and will be missed.

    Dear Rita, how I feel for you and your family as you go through one of life's milestones.
    Yes, milestone, as we all know that our own time here on planet earth is finite, and we all must pass to allow the next generations room to grow.
    As George Harrison so sweetly sang, "All Things Must Pass, All Things Must Pass Away..."
    And so it is with all of us; yet the passing is so poignant and so emotional and so sad to be without your best friend and husband.
    You gave it a real go, and you must now take care of yourself and your family as you heal from this great rift.
    "Grief is not too high a price to pay for having loved". Grief will be with you, but so will the love you shared stay with you in your own heart.

    I am so sorry for yet another loss on this board. Your Greg was a strong , wonderful, loving man and I know exactly how you feel. The next few weeks and months will be hard but just know we are all here for you Rita. Please give me a call when you feel like talking.
