Some Venting
Right now I have no energy and take a short nap during the day, and then struggle to get to sleep at nite. I want to go back t work on a part time basis but whenever I even think of doing so, I get sick. I just needed to complain today. I'm usually an up person but this fatigue and this bronchitis have me down. I guess I could be a little depressed because I do not feel motivated to do much. I have to force myself to do anything social or domestic. So many of you gals are dealing with so much more than I right now,and I love all of you and pray for all of you, but I really needed to get this off my chest. I'm feeling a little sorry myself right now because it seems I'm frequently getting set back. Thanks for listening. ((((HUGS))))

It's okay - no, it's GOOD to vent! When you looked forward to this season, you expected to be feeling better with the cancer treatments behind you! I'm sorry you're having to deal with bronchitis, that's rough. I had it once and like you, had to go through 3 or 4 antibiotics. I can tell you for certain Augmentin was the one that finally cleared it up. Hope it works well for you too! Talk about weight gain, I gained 7 1/2 pounds in the 8 weeks I was on Abraxane - now that is depressing in itself. Anyway, get to feeling better soon and salvage what's left of 2011, it will be gone soon! Best wishes.

I saw your subject line and
I saw your subject line and thought "wow, Natly's venting, that's unusual"...you must be feeling pretty crummy. I think it's harder to deal with stuff like bronchitis when you are expecting to feel better and better all the time...after all you keep getting further away from treatment. You are supposed to be able to look back and think 'I have more energy/feel better now than I did last month.'
Please don't compare the load on your plate to what others are dealing with. It is what it is, not better or worse...not heavier or lighter...just different. And if it makes you a little down, then that's what it is. For me, once I have figured out what I'm feeling and why, then I can deal with it and begin making the changes I want. It's not always that simple or easy, of course.
And that daytime nap cycle is hard to break. Maybe try your multivitamin or your juice at lunch instead of with breakfast? Or take the classic walk about an hour before you usually nap? A teeny tiny bit of caffeine (mmmmm I'm thinking dark chocolate bon bon here) with lunch? Something to change your body's daily rhythm a bit.
I do hope you are feeling better and that you get your energy back soon.
Hugs,

and it doesn't matter the cause of the sick is. Vent away, Natly. It must be really frustrating. Hope you get well soon.

You have every right to vent
You have enough going on to make anybody unhappy. But I say nap if you can or want to.
I can't help but think that you will feel better overall once the antibiotics are done and you have finally kicked the bronchitis.
Take care of yourself, be kind to yourself, you deserve it,

Nobody understands it like the ladies here!!! Its hard to be feeling physically tired and having such bad bronchitis just wears you down. Hoping you feel better soon, and your immune system starts fighting off all those germs.0 -
hope things start getting better
It is the wear and tear on your body with the bronchitis--as you know, and it is more difficult for us, because of our compromised immune systems.
My oncologist told me to nap whenever I want to because my body is telling me it is in need of the rest.
So, I do. I seem to cycle through "sleeping more" phases, and then more normal.
Vent anytime !!

Natly - so sorry you are feeling so bad. Bronchitis can really bring
you down and yours seems to be really stubborn. That's probably why
you body wants a nap every day. Hopefully it will clear up with the
new antibx and you will gain some strength back soon. Sending you
positive energy and prayers for recovery.

I hope you are feeling better soon! It is wearing to be sick--especially chronically and I know, if you are complaining, it must be very wearing! Sending you lots of healing hugs and energy ((((hugs))))0 -

Ahhhh Natly I am so sorry you are struggling to with infections and such, no fun at all. I will tell you that since all my chemo's I have had the same issues and so did my mother. She got bronchitis several times a year then she would be okay for a bit. It is frustrating but I believe you will rebound given a bit more time. Glad you came in her to vent, we certainly understand!
Gentle Hugs,

Your body is trying to tell you something.
So if it wants sleep then give it sleep. I know it has to be a bummer if you are an active person. However, the more sleep you give your body the sooner it will bounce back to its old self.0 -

sick is sick, and tired is tired. Two steps forward, then 10 steps back --- now, you singing my theme song.
Sad to admit this is what some of us have to deal with after our treatments, chemo, surgeries and multiple set backs. Hard to imagine why our bodies are not cooperating with our mind, soul and spirits.
Bronchitis, and need for a nap indicates to me (and yes, I am NOT a Doctor -- altho I pretend to play one at home) you body is continuing to heal -- and with that being said --- your body has it's own internally time clock -- and healing will take place, on its schedule.
Now, think of the fun things that you 'CAN' do daily .. cook, clean, shop, visits with your beautiful grand babies, socializing, volunteer work, etc .. sooo much more than what you could accomplish this time last year .. You've come a LONG way, WARRIOR!
Vent away, dust yourself off and continue to PERSERVE your quest and desire to get back to work == part time or otherwise.
I have FAITH in You, and know that you will get to where you are going.
Gentle hugs,

Now--let us be yours. You have every right to vent and feel frustrated right now. It doesn't seem fair that after we battle cancer, we still have other battles to fight. Bronchitis is so not fun--especially when it seems to linger forever. I'm sure this is also contributing to your fatigue.
I'm hoping and praying that this new antibiotic does the trick quickly and that you start to get your energy back. You will start enjoying the things you used to and you will get back to work if that's your desire--When you start feeling better and getting stronger.
Glad you trusted us enough to get it all out. You're going to be okay.

I agree with others. That chronic bronchitis could be a major reason you are tired all the time. After this is over you will be better. It has to be wearing you down.Your breathing, sometome coughing etc.I remember my husband having the flu. 4 days.I couldnt get him to eat or drink.Begged him to go to the doctor since he had some chest pain.He just laid around. He finally decided he had enough rest and sleep.Felt better(he thought).Went to work passed out hitting his head(working by himself).Came to.Sat around for another few hours till it was time to come home.I have no idea how he made it.He came home very very dizzy. He was bleeding from his head and said "He didn't know how he got home".I took him to the ER.He was sicker than other times. He has heart disease but he let this go.His body was breaking down.He almost died. His Kidneys and heart were failing. He had 8 clamps put in his head.A day later we found out it was walking pneumonia both lungs. He didn't cough one time. He was so bad nurses stayed in his room till the next day.He had 24 hour care which isn't given. This was just 4 days being sick but you've had this longer.
Take care and NAP.Eat plenty but most important drink. I hope you are back to work soon. Wishing good test results also. My doctor always told me.If you have a illness that lasts for a week then it will take another week to get better.Have surgery it will take a couple weeks. After being through that he was right.

Doesn't matter the reason ...when we need to vent, let it fly! I'm hoping this round of antibiotics does the trick for you...if you need to nap, nap...listen to your body...I experienced something similar last year....I had my flu shot, and I know, I know, it's a "dead" virus but two days later I started with what we thought was my "allergies".....long story short I was sick for 9 weeks! Coughing, miserable...saw my PC doctor...did all the usual stuff he does when I have a bad allergy attack....finally went on Prednisone.... That helped...Then had my check up with my oncologist...told him what I had been through and asked if it was related in any way to the flu shot......his reply.."Quite possibly....a flu shot screws with your immune system." those were his exact words...Now with this recurrence, and on oral chemo wondering about a flu shot this year....I told him last year, I couldn't have felt worse if I'd had the flu and I wasn't taking another one! I see him week after next so we'll see what he days...actually I don't think one can have the shot while on chemo...thoughts anyone?
Anyway, didn't mean to get off topic...hoping you feel better soon Nat.....did you have the flu shot before this started? Just curious...keep us posted..
Hugs and well wishes,

I'm so sorry this is happening to you right now. It gets so frustrating when we try hard and we still feel tired and lousy.
It's good to vent and this is the best place to do it.
I hope you feel better soon and vent away.
