I got the results at work today...
I don't have a plan of attack yet. The surgeon is recommending a CT or PET scan for "restaging", nothing scheduled yet. I'll definitely need surgery to try and get clean margins again, no schedule for that either. I haven't talked with the onc yet, so I don't know what he's thinking about all this. I will keep all of you posted.
For those of you who are "newbies" reading this...Please don't let this scare you. We each have our own ride on this roller coaster. We might share the chemo part of the ride, or the rads part and hold hands to get through the icky scary parts. But this happens to be my roller coaster, yours is and will be a different ride.
Hugs,
Linda

Holding you...
in positive thoughts and prayers.
I just found a lump in my "good breast" and have to go to my primary care physician tomorrow and I imagine she will order a mammogram. Then the biopsy, etc. We know the drill.

You are truly amazing. In what should be another roller coaster ride of emotions you find strength to comfort those of us still in the "first and hopefully" last battle with the beast. I can tell you will do just fine, but don't forget a lot of us are sitting beside you on your ride.
Hugs,

So sorry
Linda, I am so sorry to hear this. I am glad that you are staying strong and going into this with a fighting attitude. Keep fighting, you can win.
I am amazed that even while you were in the midst of absorbing scary news, you took the time to think of others here. You are really incredible.
You are in my thoughts.

Waiting for the
biopsy on the lump in my other breast myself. Less than 2 weeks away now. Sh$$--this just isn't fair!!
Being triple negative like you, I'm quite scared...I wish you luck in your process!
I'm going to seek out counseling (1 year out now from last surgery) to learn to deal with this rollercoaster ride we're on.
Hugs,

Awww, CRAP!!!
DAMMIT!!! My heart breaks each & every time a sister here must face a 2nd battle. Which is exactly why, long ago, I invented my imaginary magic wand... Which doesn't seem to work as well as I wish (sigh)... :-(
Lately, seems like an almost epidemic here on the Board. I know exactly how you feel, Linda. All we can do: take a deep breath, move forward only one step at a time.
Sending heartfelt HOPES for the best possible scenario. And hugs backatcha.
Kind regards, Susan0 -
Linda, I'm right there with
Linda, I'm right there with you, too. Sending strength to you to get through all the testing phase and unknown, again. There seems to be just way too much of this happening lately. We are here for you and will walk every step of the way hand in hand.
I just started chemo last Friday for my 3rd test with this beast!! Hang in there!0 -

Always thinking of others, offering encouraging, support and hope... putting others before yourself.
I hate that the beast has reared its ugly head again -- Please know that we are all behind you and the next phase of your battle. Put on your heels, and lets get ready to kick some buttt.
I am praying and thinking of you, your family,(Gabe and Abby) -- as I am positive that you will address this new phase of battle with grace, dignity, strength, perseverance, class and sass!
Strength, Courage and Hope.

The Waiting Again
Dear Linda,
Once more the waiting game for the tests and results. You are correct. It is a roller coaster, one ride that none of was want to be on.
You are very calm and always positive. I hope the testing is done quickly so you will know your plan of attack. God bless you and watch over you.
Lots of Hugs and Lots of Love

You are a true warrior, encouraging us on, while you fight so strongly. I am disappointed for you in those results. Now to face a new round of attack. We band together to lift each other up in the tough times. And you are in our thoughts as you go through this. Praying for continued hope, strength and wisdom for you and for the team that will get you thru this.

Linda,
So sorry that this
Linda,
So sorry that this wasn't just scar tissue. Dang it anyway. I think it is wonderful that you have concern for newbies and actually any of us oldbies and said that this is how your cancer is progressing. We all tend to hear this news and then worry that maybe ours will do the same. And it is so true that we can't know for sure how ours will or won't progress. And doing this why you have your own worries. you are amazing. Prayers are being sent to you. I am hoping that it will be small and treatable and nothing more will be found in your other tests. Your courage and forthright manner are so admirable.

Another, not what we wanted to hear.
So sorry that you have to do this again. Good thing is that it sounds like it is being caught quickly and you are on top of it. There has been so much of this lately, but something tells me it is because they are picking stuff up earlier.
My prayers and hugs go out to you Linda, this sucks but it is a hump that you can get over.
