Even with those wings removed, Char
you'll still be an angel. Wishing you the best of luck with your surgery. You're going to do great. And just think--you get to be that Victoria's Secret swimsuit model if you want! Nothing's holding you back now.
Take good care, and we'll all be in there with you.

Those Angel Wings
Hi Char,
I never really knew just what to call that extra tissue on the sides of my body - I like "angel wings." 2 months ago I had my reconstruction surgery and had the surgeon remove the angel wings at that time. Every time I went to see him before the surgery I made sure he knew that their removal was a goal of mine. It required the incision to be longer than it would otherwise have been but that was OK with me. Now I have no more excess tissue under my arms by my rib cage AND my arms can lay flat against my side. Good luck with your upcoming surgery.

I agree - your are an angel, with or without your wings. Sounds like another party on the Pink bus, wouldn't dare think of missing it.
Wishing you good luck and a quick recovery from your wing removal. You have my prayers.

As a fellow winger, I will
As a fellow winger, I will be on that bus. Please let us/me know what it entails, how it went, etc. Afer all the pain I am having with my mastectomy scar tissue and node dissection neuropathy, I am not sure I want anymore surgery there to get rid of mine. Wishing your surgeon top notch surgical skills!0 -

Good luck on Monday, Char. I don't even know what "angel wings" are since I had a lumpectomy, but I sure can't wait to see the new hairdo!

What my Oncologist said about ANGEL WINGS
I had my quarterly visit with my oncologist today and showed him for the 1st time how my "angel wings" had been removed during my reconstruction surgery since my last visit. He said he had not heard that term before but he knew exactly what I meant. He thought it was a good way of describing the problem. Thanks for the new vocabulary, Char.
