had malignant tongue and throat removed as much as they could. Mask has been made and on the 16th I start the IMRT (3D) radiotherapy am looking forward to seeing everyone's reactions and treatments as these sort of sites are lots more helpful than Oncologists no offence to them.

    G'day
Ray, I am also in Australia (Brisbane) and I hope you are enjoying your time down under (as much as you can considering the treatment it sounds like you are having).

Welcome to the forum, I have only joined it not long ago myself. I am sure you will find this place full of some great people with lots of great information as I have found so far.

Welcome Ray and Adrian, now called Survivor Ray and Survivor Adrian. FYI, to me your survivorship starts the day you were told you have cancer.

This is a wonderful site, lots of information, ton's of experience and endless support.

Welcome to the board Ray. We've got a bunch of good family here with lots of experience and big hearts to help you get through this. I'll add you to my personal prayer list and look forward to hearing how good you're gonna do as you go along.

Yes John. I was just so excited that someone was on here within a two hundred kilometer radius instead of a world away. And we might know the same doctor or hospital or something in common other than the obvious xxx

I am happy you found this board it has been a God send for Jim and I. I don't think we would have gotten this far without the advice, prayers and support of this family of survivors. Be strong and God Bless.

    Hey There
Hi Ray, yes I had to stay at Crawford Lodge, and sadly we were there in that horrific hail storm last March and all of our cars were written off, as if the other crap wasn't enough, but, that has been replaced and I'm all brand new again. Little bit of a tough time ahead, but, it is totally doable, we have all got through it and so can you. Best of luck and keep it touch. Cheers Jen xxxx

It is great to see all the people finding this board...I have gotten so much support and love from the people here...The interenet is a great thing, to bring together people who are fighting the same battle and encountering the same enemy....Sharing experience, strength and hope to get us all through these troubling times...Welcome new people and thank you to the others, who have been around longer and continue to support the new ones.
