Some bad news
Over the last few months I have had bone pain that became more and more unbearable. Doctors did not really seem to pay much attention until a chiropractor demanded that I have some tests done. The first MRI of the spine showed that my marrow was looking strange and the bones appeared brittle. That was 3 weeks ago. I then had Pet scan and cat scan done last Friday of July 4 th weekend.. After first MRI the doctor informed us in a very off hand manner what my situation was.
They hoped to find tumours in the Pet scan that they could biopsy...rather than the bone marrow...to decide what to do to try and slow this down.
I meet with team tomorrow..do any of you have programs that work to help keep the pain at a reasonable level?
What chemo, hormone ,radiation are you on?
I know I owe people email replies...but this happened so suddenly ans tookme by surprise.
I'll talk more later....thanks all for being there. Pat

Pat, I don't have any real
Pat, I don't have any real information, I just wanted to say you have a great Chiropractor to be so proactive.
With bone, they have some good chemo choices and depending on involvement and location, radiation may be an option.
I am sure the other women here will have some real help for you as far as drugs and treatment protocols.
All the best,

Pat, I am sorry, but, I don't know either. I had some pain in my back, so, I had a bone scan, and, it turned out ok..no cancer. There are some pink sisters on here with bone cancer. I hope they see your post and reply.
Hugs,

Pat,
I am sorry and still hope it is not cancer that has been causing pain in your back.
I did have back pain which turned out to be osteoporosis. I know how to treat pain from osteoporosis and I feel much better now. I have had 10 visits with Physical Therapist and continue with exercises at home. If you are interested please PM me. I also know that acupuncture could be successfully used in pain management
