I AM JUST WINGING ABOUT PAIN. its got so bad a had a cocktail and 3 bowls of carva at dinner. the pain persisted but the cocktail was great.

Ouch
Hey, Pete.
I can't think of anything funny about it today. I've been in deeply unrelenting pain the past couple of days. Night before last, I was pretty sure I was going to either expire from the pain or end up in the hospital. My husband gave me a Hydrocodone, and mercifully I went to sleep.
I know I don't have the worry of Stage 4 or some of the complications others here have, but I think I can give some of them a run for their money on the level of pain I deal with.
Hope your pooping slows down soon!
*hugs*

Oh Pete, I get sick of
Oh Pete, I get sick of azz-pain too. Oh, and I've never farted so much in my entire life.
I feel for those pedestrians downwind of me..the more and faster I walk (from the train station to work etc) the worse it gets. So, does one exercise and risk farting in perpetuity, or forgoe the exercise in order to be kind to the nostrils of others?
I'm more of a frequent crapper...if I don't eat the right balance of veggies, immodium and such, I go all bleeping day, causing major diaper rash, which then I can't walk or exercise for a day or 2 until my bottom heals.
I keep toilet paper, butt balm and huggie wipes at my desk. thank GOD there is a private bathroom on my floor, ususally vacant, for my long "meetings"

Terrible
Last two days have been so bad. Just peeing and when that hit my bottom the acid would burn so bad. My butt is so raw. We are camping this weekend with family and can't join in a lot because I need the bathroom close. 11 people and one bathroom is not a good combination for me. Good luck with the pain. Mine bleeds otters so raw and I've tried a lot of products.

Hi Kim,
I've been camping four times so far this year and I must admit that I probably couldn't have done it if I'd had to share a toilet with very many people as I make so many trips per day and usually can't wait long for my turn. We bought a portable toilet for my camping needs...tis inexpensive and simply made...just a five gallon bucket with a bag liner and a lidded seat. The lid/seat costs around $15 and the bag liners are biodegradable so that you can just bury the bag when ready to leave the campsite. If there isn't a private space for the toilet, we hang a curtain around it (we have a camping shower that we can put the toilet inside of if needed). I think we bought the set-up at Cabela's but it's not hard to find elsewhere.
Happy camping,
Janine
Extra thought:
Take an extra tent and set it up as a personal bathroom with the portable inside...wouldn't that be perfect???
Another thought:
I recall Pete mentioning his personal loo he set up in his van for daily needs...how cool is that???0 -

Oh, Gail- I'm sorry it's been so bad for you. Do the drs know what is actually causing your pain?0 -
Pete
Hi Pete,
I'm sorry to hear what a pain and tough time you've been having since your reconnection surgery. 40 times in the bathroom- that's no fun at all. I will be praying that your body starts to adjust to new "hookup"system soon and that your pain and number of trips to the bathroom will lessen. Are you taking the rice fiber? If not, definitely start, as it does help me!
I'm actually not having any pain so far today. I had chemo Tuesday and so yesterday was my "unhook" day, in which the "dam breaks loose", is you know what I mean. It goes from being stopped up for a day or two to going fire/acid and burning as it comes out to diarrhea of the fire acid from the chemo. Last night was miserable, but I am okay so far today. I take it one day at a time. We are going away 4 days next week starting on Monday, so I hope and pray I'll be up for this and not crapping in my pants while driving out there, lol!0 -

i have no shame, so if i have to, i stop the car, put on the emerencies and squat.
if people look i just smile, if they ask ? itell them how liberating crc is.
i have a licence to poo anywhere anytime. if i need a loo, well gents preferred, disabled, ladies. they all count.
the fire / acid got that sometimes. not so often now. the doctors cannot help alot.
somedays a good and somedays are shiit, and you know what i mean.
don't want to disturb nwebies, but they might as well know the story.
hoping the famly camping is wonderful.
