Update and sorry for being MIA
My beautiful daughter is getting married Friday and I'm so excited, big wedding, 250 or so attending. I'm so happy I'll get to see her walk down the isle
My Onc says I'm in real need of a PET scan but I didn't want to schedule it till after the wedding, just in case it's not good news, don't want to upset anyone before the special day. It is scheduled for next week 6-22-11 and I have to admit I'm nervous about this one because my tumor markers have tripled over the last few months, I'm scared the Xeloda isn't working. In addition, I'm experiencing a lot more pain in other bones along with shortness of breath and wheezing. Guess next Wednesday will be my answer so until then I refuse to worry and I'll do my best to enjoy my baby girls big day.
I've planted a HUGE garden this year, I work a lot of long hours, and I'm still in school so that's my reason for being MIA, but no excuse, and for that I'm sorry. I miss all of you and I hope nothing bad has happened while I was away, I'll have to try and spend some time reading back on the old posts in order to catch up, or if you could be so kind to reply to this and let me know who needs extra special prayers I can get right on it.
I will post my results ASAP and try to get on here more often.
Love to all of you,
Kari

Please promise us, Kari
Once KarLee is a married woman, and once you get the PET scan out of your way, please promise us that you will take care of yourself more! Between the work and the school (not to mention KarLee's wedding) it's no wonder that you're pooped. So behave yourself. You're going to need all the energy you can get once you're a grandma!

Hi KARI!!!!
Nice to hear from you, I was just about to post a shout out
to you and Meena but you beat me to it.
I can't believe you are in chemo and still cramming all those
things in your life. I hope you are not exhausting yourself. Sorry
to hear about your markers but like you i will wait patiently and
send you lots of positive energy till we know more.
Please just ENJOY this wedding, I already know you will. Your
daughter must be on cloud 9 and you right up there with her.
What a place to be!
Sending you my love,

Your little girl getting married! Enjoy every moment!
Keeping you in prayer that the scan will reveal NO tumor growth. Thinking positive.
I'd love to see your garden. Post a picture on the EP

Tee-shirt! How appropriate, and so you!
Congratulations on today's wedding! Savor each and every moment, Mom.
I am worried that you are stretching yourself thin with all that's going on.. but, you know yourself better than anyone else. Enjoy that large beautiful garden of yours.
Please know that I will be holding your hand on Wednesday during your PET scan, as well as driving our Pink Support bus .. to your neck of the woods. Has all the snow melted? Do I need to have chains put on the wheels of the bus?
I pray and hope that your additional aches and pain is caused by all that you doing ..
Strength, Courage and Hope .. Cow Girl~!!!!
