I can deliver... LOL (:
I'll have you you know that the 3 engineers were out staged by a very
cute scientist - who loves life and has the smile to prove it. He's a hot
little number, from New York, but Puerto Rican so a NuahyerKorican..
as we used to call them.
So last night he invited me for dinner, yes he cooks.. and we had so much
fun talking. Engineers? What engineers.. there they went. And get this, he
loves music, he can sing just about any song and he taught me salsa.. great
dancer, what I can say.. there went the defenses.. and I could tell he liked me
and I wanted him to know up front, so I told him and these were his astonishing
words: " So you were ill, so what? That's behind you now.. as far as I am
concerned I think you are one in a million and I waited long enough, do you
really think I would let this chance pas me by?" YES.. I cried
I think I am liking Connecticut - in one week I feel more home here than I
have in six years in AZ.
I love that I am able to share this with you all .. you are my sister and I
don't feel like I have to hold back. If anything we have a very special bond
that allows me to open up to you more than even my real sisters because
you can relate like no one else can.
Sending you LOOVE,love,love

Perhaps, it will stay out Glad you had a wonderful time and appreciated the lecture and musicians. Your post reminds me of how often we judge or perceive things and how we are likely wrong Like the flirting!

Unlike all of you... I take you all everywhere I go, you all are always
in my thoughts. You couldn't stay out if you wanted to (:

what you said was beautiful. Glad you liked the music. I find that being with my grandkids lets me remember why I need to be here and why I want cancer to be behind me. Some days I don't think about it much except when I'm washing my empty chest or putting my pretend boobs on. As for engineers - they're boring - I used to work for them a long time ago. As for latins - ooh, la, la! My breast surgeon is from Puerto Rico and I couldn't ask for a more caring, compassionate man. I have complete trust in him. You go girl - it sounds like this gentleman lights your fire

Good for you Ayse.. latin men can be oh so exciting and sexy... I was in Puerto Rico on a business trip a couple of weeks ago and the people were very friendly and kind... I learned a lot about the PR culture.. very interesting...
Enjoy yourself... you deserve it!!
Love,
Dot
Yes, EXCITING he is. I am having so much fun that sometimes I feel
guilty posting. I just want you to know I hope I am not being disrespectful
and I haven't forgotten my darker days and the ones that lighted them for
me. I just hope to do the same for someone else.
You CAN find someone to love you with no boobs, extra 20 lbs and not
to mention the lovely Afro I am sporting now as a Brunette, who was a
former blonde. I feel so alive and so grateful for every day, that I could
cry tears of joy on the spot.
I know I haven't been posting much but I keep tabs on all of you. I have
a tremendous amount of love for the ladies on this board. I was so alone
and lost till I found you and you held my hand through all my surgeries,
breakdowns/breakthroughs and temper tantrums (I know I can be a handful).
I have no idea how I could possibly repay you for this? You all have touched
my life and left a trace that will never fade, not even over time.
Love, love, love

Never, ever feel bad about posting something good
We love good news! It gives us all hope and encourages us to push through and tells us that there is a light - and life, at the end of the tunnel.
And remember, dear girl, you are quite a bit younger than me, so I am living vicariously thru you! Oh, to salsa again, sigh, I can't even spend an evening in heels anymore!

It is amazing the turns your life can take. Nice to know that life after cancer can be so exciting. Don't ever feel like you shouldn't post some thing good!
It gives me something to look forward to. My life has been pretty simple till this past year. (Not that simple isn't great) The closer I get to 50 though, the more I find I want to experience!
