I want to encourage you to please stay strong. I know how terrified you are feeling right now.

Do you have anyone you can speak directly with for support? A counselor, therapist, clergyman, close friend, etc?

You have support here that's for sure, but it helps to speak with someone face to face. Are your doctors certain that the tumors are malignant? Is there a chance they could be benign?

Have your doctors discussed treatment options in the event that the tumors are malignant? or are they awaiting the scan results?

Right now you need as much loving support as you can get. The best way to share this news is to be up front with your kids and the co-workers you are close to.

I am not where you are in your cancer journey, but I believe you need to keep fighting. Don't give up or give in to this disease. Please don't do anything to harm yourself. I know it's overwhelming and feels like too much to bare. I don't know you, but I care about you and what happens to you. I mean that from my heart. I know you feel helpless and perhaps hopeless, but please stay strong. I know personally how it feels to want to give up, to end the suffering and stop fighting, but your kids need you and I'm sure you must have extended family that love you too.

As much as I myself hate waiting on tests, I want to encourage you to wait on those test results, and discuss all available treatment options with your doctors. Don't give into the fears that are coming at you right now.

I'm going to put out the call for prayers and encouragement for you. Please, please continue to communicate with us here. Vent, yell, cry, reach out - we are here for you!

So sorry for your news. We are all in your corner. I met a gal today who is Stage 4 and and has been for quite some time but she is walking, working, enjoying life and kicking cancers butt. You can do it Kit Kat hang in there pink sister. Sending love and hugs and lots of prayers.

awful news. All of this news can be overwhelming. Wait for the PET scan results and take a deep breath. Know that you can always come here for words of encouragement and support. We care! Let us know how you're doing and by all means if you need help with depression ask your onc or primary dr. There is always hope, don't give up.

But the important part is they are alive and kicking cancer's butt. and you can too, While it is not something we want and is devastating you can live with this and thrive. They need to take care of the tumors so you can get relief for your symptoms. but hang in there. post often and we will be on the bus supporting you through this tough time.

Oh, Kit Kat--don't give up
We need you here. So glad you're seeing a counselor--it's really helped me and many others here. It's okay to have a bad day, rant, rave, cry, scream--but the next day, get back on that horse and fight, fight, fight.
