Good Morning everyone.....first, I want to thank each and every one of you for every post you have made to me over the past 2 years....I am printing some of them up for who knows what reason, but it seems to soothe me....I promise I won't shred them when I'm done...I can't really remember the past few days....we are getting ready for the service June 9th.....and I have been asked to be speaker at my college's 30 year reunion this weekend, so will be heading to Los Angeles next week for that....I have made a slide show for my mother that I would love to share with all of you, but it's an iphoto MAC show and I have no idea how to upload it or make it compatible for PCs....Mom is gone and it's weird....I am grateful that I have so many memories from the past 2 years. Last night we went to my nephew's baseball game and I had a moment of just enjoying it, and then felt such guilt...Mom would have wanted to be there...and I am finding that I mourn more for her grief than anything else...she wanted to live so much and watch her grandchildren grow up....that caused her far more pain than the cancer ever did....she would have endured cancer forever to be with her "kids".......that heartbreak is something that will be with me forever and is what causes me the most pain....I am grateful that we had such an amazing relationship....we fought like cats and dogs when I was younger and we were able to mend every fence we knocked down....what a tribute....so for you daughters and mothers who have any issues, please create peace....between you....it is so worth it...I believe it is a great to have a fence that's mended than a fence that was never damaged at all...omg...it's a good thing I am not a writer.......I am off now......and will get back on the support horse at some point.....right now, i'm trying to take really good care of myself....please send hints about slide show.....Lisa Fang Fish Jack

    I am so sorry for your loss of your mother.

    In regards to your photo show, I post alot of things on You Tube as private, that only people that are given the link can see.

    Another way you can do it is to send it as an email. Also, anyone with a p.c. that has quicktime downloaded should be able to receive it. I hope this helps and you are able to send it to others. Also don't forget to put it on a disk to save for yourself and future generations. I have made many disks for family members of those who have left us and they may not be ready for it right away, but at some time, they enjoy remembering.

    Please tell us more about your mother if you can...from what you have shared with us, she sounds like she was quite a feisty lady--my kind of girl! I am sure you made her very proud.

    Lisa don't feel guilty for having fun , its what your dear mum would want and I am sure she was there with you in spirit.
    Look at the sky tonight , your mum will be the brightest star up there , shining right back at you.

    I am glad you went to see your nephew play, but don't feel guilty as your mom was there too watching over you. I know your heart is broken and you have a lot to do so I will say bye for now..val

    thinking of you. My Mom died in 1995 (not of OVCA) and it comes back to bite regularly but then quickly turns into a wistful smile of wonderful memories.

    it is a tribute to you and your mom that you were able to mend fences. I am glad you are going on with your life even though at this point it is difficult. The old cliche "Time heals all wounds" is so true even though that is hard for you to believe right now. Thank you for sharing your feelings during this most difficult of times. The fact that you think enough of "us" to even post on the board is heartwarming. I will continue to send good thoughts and prayers your way.
