My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am happy that you advocated for results regarding your bone pain, unhappy about the results. May your doctors and specialist target those pesky tumors, and rid your body of any cyst/tumors - Forever.
Strength, Courage and Hope coming your way.
Gentle hugs,
Vicki Sam
So sorry to hear
Carol,
So sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. So many scans and then incorrect results. It just boggles my mind sometimes.
When I complained of lower back and lef pain, I got a bone scan. It was "fine" so now I just go on. I am proud that you went that step further. Pet, Bone, MRI CT........wouldn't you think they could all be accurate?
God bless and we are all here for you.

Carol,
My heart goes out to you. You were so happy recently, and now are having devastating news. You give yourself a credit for being your own advocate, continuing asking question and fighting for yourself.
Congratulations on you sons graduation!!! Big day and you are celebrating with them. Great accomplishment for you and your family.
I cannot give you any suggestions on treatment plans, they all sound very aggressive and have side effects. I think you have to do your own research and develop your own opinion. You know your body the best than any oncologist you might see what others do not know. I am very sorry, It is very tough for you especially because you have been giving this treatment your full dedication and commitment. Since I was diagnosed I have been trying to take emotions out when I have to face medical decision. My approach is to handle medical decisions of this journey a "project". It seems that Tamoxifen is not working and you might want to discuss other anti-estrogen therapy medication with your oncologist.I am sure you will make decision that is right for you.
Enjoy your good news this weekend!!!!
Hugs

Graduation was wonderful
Of course I was the teary mother. First at 145 and next at 645. After sitting through Matt's we had enough time to stop at the local pub for a sandwich and brew. Then went back to the U for the next one, thank God that he was in the first group of 100, as there were like 1500 from the school of psychology. We watched him accept the diploma and he walked up the stairs passed his seat and kept going, right out the door! I had to laugh but wanted to kiss him, I was so ready to get home, my legs were on fire! But wouldn't have missed it for the world!
I actually wore my wig for the whole day, first time since my venture to the bank:)
I had it cut and styled and this time I really did look like myself and felt really good about it. But, when we got to the car it came off and the baseball cap went back on.
Got into a parking lot argument with a family that parked in a handicapped spot that we were waiting for, we waited about 5 minutes for the people to get in thier car and leave, then a van pulled in from the other direction. The whole lot was for the disabled, and they did not have plates or the card on the window. A really nice man watched it who was going to his car and stood by it until we pulled around and held it for us! Karma got the first one though, when we came out they were getting ticketed!!!! Loved it!
Hugs to everyone and thank you for all of the support.

Carol... I am so sorry to hear you are having to wage battle with cancer again. It is a devastating and cruel disease. I pray your doctors come up with plan of attack that will rid those cancer cells from your body. Your Sister's in Pink are here for you and we will be there holding your hand in spirit and lifting you up in prayer.
I am happy to hear you will get to see your two boys graduate from college. What a thrill it must be for you to know your sons' have accomplished one of many milestones in their young lives. Congratulations Mama! It could not have happened on a better weekend! Happy Madonna( Mother's) Day to YOU, Carol!!!
Take care, God bless.

Thank you Sue, I am sure as this progresses I will need all the support and prayers that I can get. This is such a tough road. Hoping that rads will relieve some of the pain and that will make it easier to get around.
