In case your feet/legs are tired and you hear someone softly saying your name..don't be alarmed~it's

The reason your legs/feet may be sore is that you all go with me as I do the laps! It is said that once diagnosed, none of us walks the path alone~ wouldn't that hold true for the Relay? Many of us are starting treatment and don't feel up to going to a Relay~ I am going for you. Whatever is keeping you from participating, just know that you are with me. And if you hear your name? It's only me...since 2003, when I do the laps I envision all of you and I chant your names as I go around the track. It truly keeps me focused and reminds me of why I am there. When I panic and think I have forgotten one of the Kindred Spirits, I simply chant "CSN,CSN".
It will be a busy day~ Reggie and I are going to the Relay for a few hours, then we drive down the PCH to Malibu where Reggie and the men he sings with are performing at a Pow Wow~ then back up the coast to do more laps and the Luminaria ceremony!
I love you, Kindreds; I will have you close on Saturday~ feel the love!!!!
Hugs,
Chen♥

Claudia... how exciting to hear you and your hubby, Reggie, will be speaking at the Revlon Event! I can't wait to hear your pearls of wisdom. As you may have figured out, I will be there cheering you and the many other Survivors on and paying tribute to our beloved fallen Warriors!rainbow4 said:I'll be there
if only in thought, Chen. How I wish you and Reggie were closer to Kansas - would love to have you two speak at our Relay! So I'll be listening extra-hard Saturday night.
Gentle hugs to you both.

I did my first in Plantation FL
on 4/1/11 to celebrate the end of my treatment. I walked 3 laps--one as a survivor, one with my hubby caretaker and one with his team from work. I was in tears for the opening ceremonies! Very touching!! I had finished rads that morning so I was probably the "newest" survivor there and looked it from my very short (1/2 inch) gray hair. They raised over $150,000! Amazing group of people.
Enjoy yours!!

As KathiM ... and others have said ... you are my inspiration also. You must have the biggest ... kindest heart of anyone I know. I don't know how you do it. You handle your own issues with such determination ... and courage ... and yet you still find time and energy to take us with you on your travels with your wonderful Reggie ... and all of your relays. You are truly ... TRULY ... amazing!
love you.

Thank You for thinking about all of us.We will be thinking of you while you walk for a good cause.I did Relay for Life last year.It was my first time.I was just shy of my 1st year of being a survivor.I did great.I didn't get as emotional as I thought UNLESS someone asked me "Who are you walking for"They had no idea I had bc.
With your post your reminded me I need to call a lady who (last year) was on her 3rd time fighting bc.She asked me to call her.She wants to walk with me. Our walk is the first week of June. Not far away.I need to get with her and soon
I had so much fun last year.I wasn't sure if I would be able to walk much but WOW I walked more than most and loved every minute of it.It really pumps you up and brings your spirits up.
Thanks Again,

Chen, I will be with you in
Chen, I will be with you in spirit. I can't run at all, or walk very far now, but it is so wonderful to know that you are there and represent all of us who are unable to be there in person. You truly are an inspiration, as is your Reggie!
Enjoy the day, I am sure you will both luninate the ceremony without the lights!

I have shin splints already!
I have shin splints already! You are so awesome to do this. I will definitely be there with you.
BTW, I am just lazily walking the Survivor's Lap. I know, how lazy am I? Ok, they have a Silent Auction and I promise to do lots of shopping--that is never difficult for me.
But maybe I'll do the Komen Walk in October because you are really guilting me...lol.0
