speaking problem after surgery

Hello
Mark,
Hi. I never went through surgery like yours, but part of the time during and after treatment, I had a weak voice. It eventually came back (for the most part - I still have my weak voice moments, but they are just that - moments. I would think you may still have inflammation from surgery, and the swelling may annoy your vocal chords, but I don't know.0 -

Speaking Problem
Hi, Mark. I had parotid surgery last May. They removed my right parotid, the left half of my thyroid and 9 lymph nodes. I had a soft voice for a while, but it came back just fine. I still have a bit of a problem with some words because my lips and the right side of my face are paralyzed. I can be understood, but I look like a chipmunk when I say 'F' of 'P' sounds. So, it sounds like you are getting better and I wish you the best. I certainly hope the surgery was a success in attacking the cancer.
