My knight in Shining Armor has passed

At 1:00 this morning my best friend, my husband, and my soul mate Vince Rizzitello passed away in his sleep. He died in my arms with me telling him how much I loved him. He was a Vietnam Vet, a Police officer, and always used to say to me "I have been a soldier my whole life." He tried so hard to fight this beast , his heart kept beating but the rest of his body had already died. He was so brave and I loved him so.
Thank you all so much for helping me try to get thru this

I am so sorry
Dear Barbara,
I am so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express the sadness I feel for you and your family. I will be praying for you while you are dealing with this pain. I feel so helpless, I wish I could do more for you. I pray that the Lord will wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you.

I am so sorry to hear that Vince has left us.
Barbara,
I am so sorry to hear that Vince has left us. This last six months has been a very difficult time for both of you. I am happy to hear that Vince was close to you when he passed. He is now beyond the pain and suffering that comes with cancer.
May God provide you with peace during this difficult time.
With my deepest condolences,
Paul Adams

So sorry
So very sorry to hear your news. We pray for strength for you and may you be comforted by the memories of the wonderful times that you shared.0 -
Barbara,
So sorry to hear about Vince. He isn't in pain anymore and sounds like he was a "soldier" all the way. It's so hard to say goodbye to our loves, but when they're suffering it's hard to watch them go through that too. Take care & I'm sure you have happy memories, so remember those. I lost my husband of 46 years ago last March and can't believe it's almost a year. Never thought I'd get to the time when I could talk about it or even smile again. It takes time and take as long as you need to adjust to the new life. "Carole"0 -

Barbara,
My heart fell when
Barbara,
My heart fell when I saw your post. I know how much faith and hope both you and Vince had that he could get through this latest battle and have some more time to enjoy the wonderful life the two of you had and all those many friends. Words feel so empty at this time but know that he fought a brave battle and you were there with him every step of the way with your love and support and kindness.
My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Love and hugs,

My Heartfelt Sympathies
Dear Barbara
May I send you my sympathies on the loss of your husband, Vince. May he now finally rest in peace. May he no longer be in pain or suffer. May God bless you with the peace and strength you will need at this most difficult time. Please continue to come here. You can help so many from your experience. It will be a year, March 9th, that my dad passed. We will be celebrating his one year anniversary in heaven! It does not get better, it gets easier. Give yourself at least a year to mourn and grieve. We are always here for you. Thinking and praying for you and your family.
