Stop by the uterine part of our site as you might some more information there.
I'm a uterine cancer survivor and had 6 rounds chemo plus 33 rounds of radiation - external pelvic. I'm 1-1/2 years from last radiation treatment and do have what I'd call FAST BOWELS with certain type foods/beverages. Never in my whole life had a bladder infection, but think this might be something you should speak with your doc about.
What I have issues with is my lower back and now possibly some nerve damage as have pain from upper bottocks to one side of my leg. I'm hoping it will get better, but with my insurance deductible being so high, I pay for all my doc visits, therefore, try everything on my own before a doc visit.
What stage was your cancer? Type? Curious...as assuming you've not had recurrence either?
Best to you,

Dear Jan,
So sorry to hear of your back pain; is it pretty recent?
And did you have EBRT or IMRT pelvic radiation?
For the nerve pain, have you tried alpha-lipoic acid (600 mgs a day) ? Life Extension.com has a web site that is really good on advice for supplements for neuropathy, if that 's what you're experiencing.

What kind of radiation?
Dear Louise,
So sorry to hear of these ongoing problems.
When you say 'radical" hysterectomy do you mean they removed more than your uterus and ovaries?
And what KIND of radiation did you have? Was it EBRT or IMRT each day for five weeks?
Thank you,
