You are very welcome. I wish I could help more. Do you have someone who will be helping you? My husband was home with me. Getting up and around at first can be a little wobbly, so good to have someone to help with balance. I wonder if they might keep you in the hospital overnight. I went home same day. I was on so much pain medicine that it is kind of blurry, though I know I was talking a lot!

No, sorry, am not familiar with this. Though I would definitely check that it can be inserted after 4 weeks. Typically after surgery, it’s nothing in vaginal canal for at least 8-12 weeks. But again I don’t know much about this device, but you definitely don’t want an infection developing.

I don't know about the others, but I don't remember seeing that posted here before. I know I had to look up "pessary" and learned something new.

I am trying to figure some things out. Were you told to wear it after surgery by the doctor? I am guessing you have prolapse? Did you have cancer and this was a side effect?

I apologize to ask so many questions, as I said, I just hadn't come across this and you may be helping others.

I am assuming the pessary is for pre op. Your vaginal vault will be sutured after the hysterectomy. Do you mean a pessary for pre op?

So very grateful for my PCP to order the MRI, when OB/GYN wouldn’t. While no specific confirmation whether cancer, it’s clear whichever it us — hyperplasia or cancer — it’s totally contained. No growth in interior or exterior walls. The D&C in June is next!

Finished up the cardiac monitor, while awaiting the result of the sleep study. Labs are Tuesday with the heart cath a week after…. Am very, very much hoping the D&C will be the end of it.
