@Khaffey great news with this update. Encouraging to hear that some beat the incontinence devil. It is my biggest concern if I choose surgery route. Wishing you continued good progress!

16 weeks out. Things are great. Incontinence is a non issue. A very rare drip or leak. Not much progress with erections. Feeling a little arousal during the night, and I think I am making progress.

Khaffey… First of all, congrats on being a well-informed patient. Do you have a medical oncologist as well as a radiation oncologist? If so, this doctor's insights will help you make a decision you are comfortable with. I am a 7 year prostate cancer survivor. Gleason Score 9 and the BRCA 1 Gene. My prostate was removed, I have had chemo and radiation, both conventional and SBRT.

As you know, it's vital to understand the clinical specifics of your condition. I have also found it is vital to stay mentally strong… so I hope you approach each day with quiet courage, resolve, and a determination to beat cancer.

    Best wishes.

So happy for you. Great improvement! 0.04 for me also. Why the pump?

JackWest Thanks. In addition to the cialis, my PA recommended the pump for additional blood flow stimulation.

5 months out. 2nd PSA 0.04. Feeling great and incontinence is a non issue. I'm seeing very slight improvement with erections, so I am optimistic.

    khaffey,

Terrific news. You will be surprised how quickly the first year will pass. My 1st surgery anniversary is coming up on August 15th. I am so happy I went with Surgery. It is beginning to just seem like other past surgeries, like getting your appendix out or gallbladder. Certainly a much higher level of anxiety about the side effects but I am certainly pleased.

Wheel, you are so right. I had a colon resection 16 years ago and it seems like yesterday. Congratulations on you 1 year anniversary. Wishing you continued success.

Going on 10 months out from surgery. Incontinence is a non issue. I'm seeing significant improvement with erections. Haven't had intercourse yet but I think it's not far off.

Appreciate the updates. My RARP surgery was Jan. 20, 2025 and I am seeing similar progress as you. Still get the rare unexpected dribble but very manageable. Mentally knowing my prostrate was removed and cancer was all within the removed prostrate (no margins) is so comforting. Keep us updated and enjoy life.
