I would talk with your doctor about what she recommends as a next step. With the good news you received from the biopsy, she may want to defer the D&C, but given your other issues you've had over the years and the family connections with cancer, you can certainly discuss this as an option. My first D&C years ago found a benign polyp that, once removed, stopped the vaginal bleeding I was having at the time.
Since you were able to tolerate the procedure fairly well, at a minimum, I would ask for another biopsy within a reasonable period of time just to stay on top of this.
