Good luck for scan.
According to what Onc said and what I read, herceptin alone isn't powerful enough. Usually, it goes with another drug.
Dad first tried herceptin + Tukysa , which didn't really worked for him, also paid hefty price for Tukysa and was pain to get it approved.
The next drug Enhertu is been working alright for him, was comparatively easy on insurance side as the drug is approved to treat her2+ CRC.
Note that oncologist from MSKCC who happened to run trial on Tukysa wasn't convinced that Enhertu will work but our Onc was positive, point being if herceptin didn't work look for options, there are many other combinations for Her2+ but ehertu and tukysa are one of the most promising one.

Thanks. I took Herceptin with Perjeta and became very ill in addition to the tumor growing. I was told that Perjeta was the culprit. I've been interested in Enhertu but my prior onc said he didn't think he could get it for me (because he said it isn't approved for CRC) and he didn't think it would work on me. A second opinion said she could get it for me. So your info is very helpful. Talking to a new onc this week. I've never heard of Tukysa.
I'm glad Enhertu is working for your dad and hope that he is otherwise doing well. He's lucky to have you.
