Updated NCCN Guidelines

NCCN has updated both its clinical and patient guidelines. You do need to setup a free account with NCCN in order to access and download the clinical guidelines, although the patient guidelines don't require an account.

One major change is that separate pathways were created for the following high-risk endometrial carcinoma histologies: Serous, Clear Cell, Undifferentiated/Dedifferentiated Carcinoma and Carcinosarcoma. Previously these were all on the same page and treated similarly. Other updates were made as well.

The NCCN guidelines are such a wonderful resource. We only get so much time with our care team that these type of things can help us understand some of what we have been told. Knowledge is power!

See here for the patient guide. NCCN uses the title "Uterine Cancer" for the patient guidelines. The clinical guidelines are under title "Uterine Neoplasms."

CMB, anything new in NCCN for GCS/MMMT? I'm so psyched about the new developments in adding immunotherapy to frontline chemo.

Nope, no new updated to the NCCN clinical guidelines since November , 2021 when I last wrote about that update.

Now that each of the high-grade cancers have their own pathway, it's easier to follow the guidelines for a specific cancer type. But I don't think there were any changes to the recommended treatment for carcinosarcoma from the May 2021 version.
