    Diet

My husband was just diagonis with Stage 4 Stomach cancer.  He has no appetite also.  Since he fulls up quickly, I have been trying to get him to eat small meal/snacks throughout the day.

First of all during the chemo and surgical stages the side effects will come and go and it will be a year post treatment before you settle down to a eating routine.

It may be that your family member seems to suddenly be lactose intolerant -- this is a common problem

My go-to small meal was Progresso Soups -- the broth based soups not the cream soups. Mild pasta dishes in small amounts were good as well.

I found that I was needlessly too concerned with putting weight back on. Two years post an 80 lb weight loss, I have regained 17 lb. Being thin is healthy and good for longevity. I am happy to stay thin for the rest if my life.
