Sad news about linmk
linmk (Linda Kreuger) passed away earlier today. She'd been in hospice care at home for a couple of months and her nephew, Brad, was keeping her friends informed. Below is the email I received from Brad at 9:00 am. A few hours later she was gone. Godspeed, dear friend.
p.s. thanks to cmb for finding Linda's photo and sending it to me.

I am so, so sorry
She fought so hard, and I looked forward to seeing her posts concerning her treatment, hoping the treatment she was on would work. My condolences to her family and friends.
Three wonderful ladies gone in a short time span. Losing such great ladies makes you realize how brutal ovarian and endometrial cancer can be.0 -

So sad to lose another sister to this awful disease
I did not know her well as I came on board I think after her, but like LadyMox, this hits hard. What a fighter! What I take from everyone's life stories is invaluable but at the same time very bitter sweet. May she rest in peace.

I couldn't remember who she was, and with the data loss the board experienced, I couldn't find anything about her. RIP, I remember you now.

I see she joined in sept 2017. Did she mention when she was diagnosed with the stage 4B?

Linda tried so many different treatments during her struggle with cancer. I'm so sorry that none of them were ultimately effective for her.
For those who would like to read a bit about the treatments she tried and the issues she faced (plus see her profile photo with the distinctive glasses) check out the post at https://csn.cancer.org/node/318223
Her initial post was at https://csn.cancer.org/node/312077 which described her original treatment and the drugs used to combat her recurrence.

I edited my post above when I realized that I hadn't linked to the discussion thread where Linda summarized her treatments (sorry about that). I also added the link to her original post. I'm assuming she was Stage IV from the beginning since she had chemo to shrink her tumors before she had surgery.

Linda Krueger community activist and a lover of learning born August 28, 1948 and passed away April 5, 2019 due to complications from cancer. Linda was born in Madison, WI. Her parents were Earl H.
Krueger and Ruth L. Krueger (Schwister). She leaves behind her siblings Wanda (Richard Rupert) Krueger,
Earl Jr. Krueger, and James (Shirley) Krueger as well as nieces and nephews Jon (Sandy) Krueger, Erik Krueger, April (Aric) Dichraff, Robin (Pete) Jones, Brad (Gilbert) Krueger, and Gretchen (Sean) Gremminger.
After graduating from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1966, she attended the University of WisconsinSuperior where she started a short-lived alternative newspaper “Fear-The Paranoid Press.” Among her classmates was Arnold Schwarzenegger. During the 1970s Linda lived in New Orleans, LA where she enjoyed the diverse cuisine and night life of the city. After leaving New Orleans she traveled extensively throughout North America and Latin America. She also lived for a time in San Paulo, Brazil where she taught English. In 1979, Linda returned to Wisconsin to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduation in 1981, she worked as a journalist and photographer for a Madison area newspaper. Subsequently in 1987, she earned a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Texas.
Not being a fan of cold weather, Linda happily lived and worked in Austin, TX for the rest of her life. In her free time, she loved making new low carb recipes, inexpensive happy hours, gardening, strolling the beach on South Padre Island, swimming at Barton Springs, and visiting with friends at local meetup events. She was a passionate political activist who was not afraid to speak her mind, as Linda would say “Be the Change.” Linda’s candor and wit will be missed by all who knew her.

Such an interesting person
This makes it doubly sad. I’m always amazed when we find out the true identity of our sisters who have passed on what remarkable people they had been in life. I’m warning you all, I’m just a regular person.
