    JNiven,

    My husband did not have an NG tube.  His recovery took almost a full year.  He is still only tasting 20% of what he eats.  Everyone is different.  I would say my husband took longer than many others on here that have shared their story.  

    Hang in there, it is a long road, but you will get there!
