Our dear friend, John, has passed
I am so, so heartbroken.
Our friend John (John23) passed away on March 20th.
His life touched ours, and he shared so much good information and advice.
He truly fought the good fight.
Thank you, Simone, from the CSN support team, for sharing this information. It is good to know that we can read his profile and all of the information about TCM that he shared.
Fly free, dearest John.

Oh my goodness
He has been a friend and a support person for many years. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I didn't realize he was not doing well. I'm hoping that CSN doesn't take his posts down like they did in the past. He has much information to give.
May God be with him and his family.

Yup He's Gone
Makes me so darn frustrated that CSN wants to erase a person because they died and make then non existant. Why can't they just leave his posts up? He gave so much help to many people. I'm so sad for his family and this deletion.

So sad
I too am so very sorry to hear of John's passing. He suffered greatly, but was always willing to share his story and successes.
Thank you to CSN for letting us know of his passing.
May his soul fly high and in peace.

That isn't right!
CSN must put John's profile back up! He survived a long time using TCM, and others will benefit from the wealth of knowledge he shared here. It's hard enough to know he passed...erased is simply unbearable!!!

profile for Joh23 is still there. I am a bit confused though as it says last accessed in April.

So very sad to hear this
I am very sorry to hear of John's passing. Although I rarely post, I obtained so much valuable information and inspiration from all of you on this site during my "phases" of treatment beginning in August 2015. John was so very knowledgable and such a voice of reason and fact. On of the best pieces of advice he always dispensed was to trust your gut and your own feelings. His knowlegde will be sorely missed.

We were saddened to hear of his passing as well. His information was not removed and all his posts are still there. He is listed under John23.
Best regards,
Jeff

We appreciate the work of the CSN support team, and it makes us all happy to know that you have found a way to keep the profile, while blocking any illigal use of our dear friends names.

Damn, John was a rock. He knew how to lay out the facts in a calm, easy manner, though he didn't suffer fools gladly. He knew what mistakes were made, both by him and those who should have been looking out for him. And though he predicted this outcome, it doesn't make it easier to acknowlege he's gone. A lot of new folks won't know what they missed, a steady, studied "voice" on a number of frightening subjects. Adios JOHN23........................................................................................Dave

Frustrating that they shut down a person's story/history, but any ten year old thread can bring them up, leaving only questions about a smiling or funny avatar and a kind, thoughtful response...................................Dave

probably accesses his account.
I have his obituatry. It is short and doesn't say much about him, so I didn't post the link. Plus, he was quiet about his private life, thus I think it best not to share his full name. If the admins feel differently, then they have the link and can post it.

John emailed on March 2nd, just 18 days before he passed. His latest PET said there was no tumour in his body. He knew better. He was down to 80lbs. He probably starved to death at that weight.
What a blessing it was to get to 'know' him via the forum and email.

Thank you Tru. I posted awhile ago. And checked that he was last here mid-April, though I it seems otherwise on who who was here.
I want to punch something right now. And somehow I know he would approve after he and I discussed things about whether it was correct to do so. Righjt now I am torn between trrying to be calm and mature about this or curse a ton.
I really want to punch my computer screen right now.

So Sad
This makes me so sad to read of another CRC passing. John's posts were great and many times provocative. He was a wealth of info. I pray he is at peace. He will be missed.
