This is Hondo's daughter, I wanted to let everyone know that he passed away Monday.  He has been struggling with pnemonia from aspirations since August.  He was hospitalized about a month ago and since then was just unable to bounce back.  I know you all meant so much to him and gave him so much support and uplifting during his struggles.

    Thank you very much.  I knew his being absent was going to be sad.

    Hondo was one of the first members I connected with and we shared many threads together.

    You were very lucky to have him in your life.

    It is with great sadness, I read of Hondo's passing. I don't believe I've ever had the pleasure of knowing( through CSN )such a gentle man, but, a fighter for life until the end. He loved his family. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends)

    So sorry to hear of your loss.  Your father helped me when I first found out I was probably going to have a PEG tube the rest of my life.  (Turned out just be cancer again - and a laryngectomy fixed that problem :))

    I am so sad to hear this... I never had a chance to speak with Hondo, but he was such an inspiration to everyone here at CSN.  I read so much of his advice when I was looking through archives over the past several weeks.  I know he will certainly be missed!  RIP Hondo. :-(

    Thank you for taking the time to let us know of his passing. My thoughts and Prayers go out to all of Hondo's family.

    No words that I type here will ease your pain at this time. Hopefully, as time passes, so does the pain and only Fond Memories remain. 

    Hondo shared all his knowledge with everyone, even when he wasn't feeling good himself.

    Your father will truly be missed on this board. He was an inspiration to all. I have relied heavily on the postings here to help a friend. He always made me believe that even in the worst of cases there is hope and life after cancer

    Thank you for letting us know....

    Hondo was a pillar of this group....from the day I arrived here in 2012, he was here to help, encourage, pray....give advice.  This makes me feel very sad.  He will be missed here.

    My heart goes out to you and your family....he was a good man, and a Godly man.  Hugs to you all.
