Starting Sutent again.
I was suppose to start my treatment with Sutent 3 weeks ago but because I had a blockage in my windpipe it was delayed. So far I have had 8 radiation treatments on my windpipe and 7 more to go but they are gobng to start my Sutent on Monday because my breathing as gotten a little better. (I think) I am still worried about the shortness of breath but they say that they can adjust my dose if it becomes a problem. Has any one had any problems with rapid heart rate as a side efect from Sutent?

need to cope with side effects, but tolerable
Eliezer,
That sounds encouraging. Ihope I am that blessed. The doctors say that this is the best to go wtih at this time. My cancer is clear cell renal cc. No sure wha that means but they say it responds better to treatment.Did you have any severe side effects?

Worked for a few months for me.
All of which confirmed what my Dr said to me, "All you Predict about RCC is its unpredictability."
Good luck, hope it works for you.

mine also clear cell - most common - just a cell type
side effects annoying but manageable

high blood pressure and hypo-thyroid manageable ok with pills
some taste changes in mouth
some skin problems but not too bad
