Severe Aortic Stenosis Due to Radiation for Childhood Cancer
I am a 35 year cancer survivor looking for other long term childhood cancer survivors who had radiation (to the chest or mantle) and have been diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis (as a long term side affect from the radiation) and need a valave replacement but are considered high risk (due to lung capacity because of radiation as well).
I was 3 when originally diagnosed with undifferentiated sarcoma and underwent surgery, intense radiation and two years of chemo. i have severe arotic stenosis that is considerably getting worse and am going for more investigative testing to determine if surgery will be possible.
Anyone out there?

Hi. FYI - I found another site acor.org. If you sign up for long term survivors section on that webiste, I also found it very infomrative too and especially if you search "heart" issues you will find a lot and might get answers from other survivors. I have SVT from rad damage. Good luck. Hope this finds ou well. God Bless
