How are you doing after the lumpectomy?
Are you able to do moderate exercise without pain? My cancer and treatments seem to be similar to yours and was surprised that you can do this so soon.

Fuzzy too
I love this.. I am just a bit baby fuzz headed too and as it is so hot, I really hate wearing anything on my head! I have considered many times when headed to the grocery store not wearing anything but then I give in and turban up! Thanks for your inspiration this morning!
Also congrats on getting to the gym~ I wasn't in great shape before all of this started so I am hoping this is the beginning of a better me, I want to find a good excercise plan to follow when my surgeries are all done. I have already tried to be conscious of my food choices.
Good Luck to you Angie!0 -

Thanks, everyone. It sure is more comfortable uncovered!
Rebecca, I'm just doing treadmill right now, so I can do whatever speed and time I want--have a long way to go to get back to where I was before chemo. I want to start back in a Silver Sneakers Class, also (senior strength, stretching, aerobic, and balance exercises.) But I'm not going to do any weights there yet. My surgeon said I could do anything I wanted. I'm concerned about lymphedema--don't have a problem now, but had 3 lymph nodes removed the end of June and start radiation next week. My MO said I should check with a lymphedema specialist and made me an appointment with one on the 30th. Are you doing better with your chemo now?

Funny that we care, but I don't think most people do. I know when I see a beautiful bald woman I wonder, but it really doesn't even phase me other than thinking I hope she isn't having chemo! Probably from being in the infusion room for so long.
You are inspiring with the exercising and no hat!!0 -

I am a stinkin' coward with the chemo. I just finished A/C and am facing Taxotere and scared like crazy. I don't know why. But that being said, I wanna be like you!!!! Let us know how the radiation goes, ok? I think a Silver Sneakers Class sounds like something I would like too.
