Anyone else tried MMS ?
the standard regime.
I did some research, went ahead after having it on my shelf for a month, getting the confidence to add another alternative remedy to my already overloaded routine.
i starrted it when my cea was hovering around 16 back in january 2012
I stopped it a few months back when i started my vegan experiment and natural foods and cutting potentially questionable alternative treatments for my regime.
My cea is currently 46, with a clear ct recently, all have been clear.
I noticed no side effects, it was easy to make, did not taste to bad.
I may restart it, but am waiting to resolve my persistant gut dysbios issues before i recommence other alt treatments that might disrupt my gut.
I went down this path, as the doctor who advised me i trust and my research indicated this was worth. i also noted its use as an antimalerial so i figured, if it does not fix the cancer at least it might kill any remaining malerial recurrences.
I am not advocating this at all, just sharing what i tired as it was requested in the gcmaf post. for completeness i will add to this post if i recommence this therapy if anyone has any interest in it.
As an aside mixing it, the mms 3 times a day, with the pure water and the drops, was a little bit of chemistry that my daughter enjoyed doing to help dad. when she gets to high school, i am sure she will love science like i did. i just wish i could remember more of my high school science. that was over 30 years ago.
hugs,
pete

If this is the same stuff you are taking, you should probably reconsider this. Article was scary. Too much of a good thing could kill you too. Be careful in all these supplements.

Please read the warnings for chemo like Temodar, if you can find them...
"Male and female rats treated with 200 mg per square meter of body surface area (mg/m2) of temozolomide (equivalent to the maximum recommended daily human dose) for 5 consecutive days out of every 28-day cycle for 3 cycles developed mammary carcinomas. Rats given 25, 50, or 125 mg/m2 (equivalent to one eighth to one half of the maximum daily recommended human dose) for 6 cycles developed mammary carcinomas and malignant tumors in various organs and glands including the eyes, heart, prostate, salivary glands, seminal vesicles, and uterus{01}. Adenomas of the lung, pituitary, skin, and thyroid were observed at the highest dose.{01}"

Temodar is a prescription only drug in the US while MMS is an Over the internet product.
There are plenty of FDA approved drugs which I would not use and would caution others not to use which are known to cause cancer.
We each must research all drugs and/or 'cures' which we take and know the possible effects beyond the good one we hope for.
Informed desicion making is up to the individual.0 -

Pete, I wasn't going to comment on this one...but, I thought your goal was to get toxic substances out of your body and go natural....this seems radical, even dangerous. Your scans are not picking something up. I know you're worried about your CEA but this may be a rise due to something else going on. I wish you nothing but the best.0 -

Not on it now, been off it 2 months.
My gut issues I hope due to Colonics, time will tell.
Posted from Dr bed, getting vit c, lipoic acid and sodium bicarb.
I know mms is serious so I was careful and aware, but if my onc could inject chemo then I could try mms. I really wish it was the miracle, my cea continued to rise while on it. Mind you at a much slower rate than last month's biggest rise.
I hope everyone has a great day,I am, going to meditate now, while getting iv c. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

I am still breathing, just
I read heaps in the month while mms sat on the kitchen shelf.
Yes I put it in the seriously alt category, the well yes the FDA warning is clear and public.
Out of all my alts mms had the weakest science, but nothing ventured nothing gained.
Thanks for caring, I am sharing for completeness, not recommending.
I doubt any other people Here have tried it.
It makes being a vegan, juicer with supplements look pretty tame

Same website, different info. So are you really making informed decisions?
I personally do not take the information from a single site when evaluating information of any kind.
I looked up 3 additional sites regarding Temodar and all 3 mentioned the possibility of it causing cancer (under potential side effects).
Where there is conflicting information, I always try to seek a professional who can find out more.
In fact when I was looking up MMS, I actually went to their web site and that is where the link to the FDA warning appeared. After that, I didn't look further.
"So are you really making informed decisions?"...as informed as I can with the tools available to me.
I consider it the responsibility of every individual to check out to their personal satisfaction the treatments which are proposed. Some folks will always be more comfortable with following what the doctors recommend. Some folks will always want to take the alt route. Some folks will take a hard look at it all.
As I said before, it is an individual choice. That goes for how much you look into proposed treatments, regarless of origin...mainstream, alt, internet...wherever.0 -

Hi Marie,
It was only when it came up re tony childs possible treatment i chimed in here to mention my MMS.
I had reservations about mentioning it, and yes i actually thought for a few seconds before doing the post. but figured i would explain the full context.
One of my alt doctors, who mentioned mms as a worthwhile thing to try. basically said all of his recurrant colorectals are dead. i would likely survive because i am trying more things than anyone else, at least he said that gave me a better chance. he has seen some good results with mms with other cancers and believed mms was worth my trying. again i know the fda warning clearly, but my doctors advice to me was far more complelling. something similar to tony's explanation.
As you know i am happy to discuss till the cows come home exercise, diet, meditation and yoga, qigong and simple supplements. which i have found personally convincing evidence for and yes am happy to share to decision but not push anyone to hard. well maybe diet and exercise i go over the top a little. and i am sorry for annoying many with my devotion to diet and exercise.
Now gcmaf and to a lesser extent mms fall into the seriously alternative universe. i am more convinced medically about gcmaf. mms i mention here to provide the bigger context that i operate out of trust and faith in my alternative doctors and assess upside and downside risk. hence my comments that i am still here despite mms and all my attempts at killing a few cancer cells. obviously i desire keeping the rest of my alive and in good health as well. So i am quiet prepared to take calculated gambles at alternatives i have been recommended.
just for the record, i will take the route that gives me the best chance at health and cure be it conventional, alternative or a combination. I have shared this in good faith, i hope my reputation here is not tarnished, my willingness to take aggressive risks to obtain cure is something i am proud off and well as my research of less controversial alternative paths.
Thanks for yours and everyone elses comments to this post. MMS is way down on my list of alternatives and my research focus is gcmaf and fixing my gut and chelation. but its on the shelf and i have personal experience of its use and i am not afraid to use it.
hugs,

Always try what you think is best for you and never give up!
Pete I admire your willingness to dig in and try alternative treatments that you feel are best for you. All of our bodies are so different and even our diagnosis are all a little different and no two cases are ever alike. Medicine is an educated guess and our doctors do the best for us but the really good ones will tell you they do not have black and white answers. It is all trial and error.
People have noted the side effects of the MMS but honestly if they dug in and found the side effects of many of the cancer chemo treatments they would probably be just as freaked out. Cancer is an ugly disease and it requires ugly treatments. But we all have to go through trial and error to see what works for us individually.
You work hard to keep your body as healthy as it can be and that will be such a benefit to you in the long run! You seem to do a great job at counteracting the bad with the good.
Good luck with your treatmnt plans and I hope you find the best one for you!0 -

taking chemo was a leap of faith which for me was a bad experience...I could have died from it, nearly died from it and have terrible effects that have never gone away. So I have refused anymore for mets...foolish, maybe, I am still alive, was it because of the original chemo...don't know, just felt I would not survive chemo again..they said 6 months to a year...still here over a year..my choice..don't know a thing about MMS, but I bet Pete does. I have a anti depressent I haven't taken because I read the side effects....as Coppercent said, don't read side effects of chemo.....nothing good....it will be people like Pete that may find us a safe treatment..I think we all should do what we decide is right for us and go for it.......my husband believes I am alive because of his juicing and whatever else he throws in there, I don't want to know unless I survive liver mets....bless you all and good luck with whatever route you choose...Pat0 -

Good summary of issues
Safety and legal issues:
The Guardian has described MMS as "extremely nasty stuff, and the medical advice given is that anyone who has this product should stop using it immediately and throw it away. In Canada it was banned after causing a life-threatening reaction."[13] In 2009, an American woman travelling in Vanuatu took MMS as a preventative for malaria. Within 15 minutes she was ill, and within twelve hours she was dead. The island nation's public prosecutor, Kayleen Tavoa, did not press any charges as there were no specific laws banning the importation of MMS, but advised, "While every case is assessed on its own merits, I advise that any person who misuses MMS in Vanuatu in the future would be likely to face prosecution for potentially serious criminal offences. No person should ever give MMS to another person to drink without advising them of what it is they are drinking and of the serious risks to health that may arise if they decide to drink the mixture."[14][15]
In 2008, a 60-year-old Canadian man was hospitalized after a life-threatening response to MMS.[16] Following a May 2010 advisory which indicated that MMS exceeds levels deemed to be safe by a factor of 200,[17] a Calgary based supplier briefly stopped distribution. A February 2012 warning, which resulted in one website shutting down, advised: "There are no therapeutic products containing sodium chlorite authorized for oral consumption by humans in Canada."[18][19] In the UK, the Food Standards Agency also has released a warning, following the initial warning from Health Canada and a similar warning from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in which they stated that "MMS is a 28% sodium chlorite solution which is equivalent to industrial-strength bleach.[2] When taken as directed it could cause severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, potentially leading to dehydration and reduced blood pressure. If the solution is diluted less than instructed, it could cause damage to the gut and red blood cells, potentially resulting in respiratory failure."[20][21]
In December 2009, an alert was issued by the Belgian Poison Control Centre to the European Association of Poisons Centres and Clinical Toxicologists. In response, an evaluation was performed by the French "Comité de coordination de toxicovigilance" in March 2010, warning about a dose dependent irritation and possible toxic effects. They also warned that patients affected by serious diseases could be tempted to stop their treatments in favour of this alternative treatment.[22] A similar notice was released in July 2010 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warning that the instructions for preparing the solution by mixing it with an acidic solution, or even orange juice, would produce chlorine dioxide, "a potent bleach used for stripping textiles and industrial water treatment." Because of reports including nausea, vomiting, and dangerously low blood pressure as a result of dehydration following instructed use, the FDA has advised consumers to dispose of the product immediately.[8]
MMS is not approved for the treatment of any disease and according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, chronic exposure to small doses of chlorine dioxide could cause reproductive and neurodevelopmental damage.[23] A short term study found no effects in hematological or urine chemistry or in physical symptoms in human volunteers over a period of 84 days.[24] While studies of chlorine dioxide effects in humans are rare, studies on animal subjects are more common; chlorine dioxide has been shown to impair thyroid function and reduce T4 cell count in monkeys after 6 months.[25] Another study in rats resulted in reduced red blood cells count when exposed to 100 mg/L of chlorine dioxide concentration in their drinking water, after 3 months.[26] The United States Department of Labor restricts occupational exposure through inhalation of chlorine dioxide to 0.1ppm since concentrations at 10ppm resulted in deaths in rats, after 10 days while a case where a worker was accidentally exposed to 19ppm resulted in death.[27] According to the same organisation "chlorine dioxide is a severe respiratory and eye irritant in humans".[27]
[edit] JudgementsMMS was a cure touted by an Australian couple targeting the Seattle area. They ran websites using fake testimonials (accompanied by sexy vignettes), photographs, and Seattle addresses, to promote downloadable books touted as containing secret cures as well as selling bottles labeled "water purification drops" with a brand name of "MMS Professional".[28] The Washington State Attorney General's Office filed suit, and in conjunctions with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), secured a settlement of more than US$40,000 for at least 200 residents.[29][30] In the ACCC legal action, the presiding judge described the cures as quack medicine and found the claims on the websites "false, misleading or deceptive".[28][31]
A woman from north Mackay, Australia, without qualifications to practice, charged up to A$2,000 to inject patients with MMS in her garage which lacked proper facilities for sterilization, and went as far as advising a person to avoid proper medical treatment. The Queensland Office of Fair Trading got a court order prohibiting her from "making any claims she is able to treat, cure, or benefit any person suffering from cancer" and she was charged court costs of A$12,000.[32][33]0
